Looks like a batsman will be 12th man
The top order is interesting now that James Smasherith has announced himself last SS game

1 HARRIS
2 SMITH
3 KLINGER
4 COSGROVE
5 BORGAS
6 MANOU
7 CHRISTIAN
8 OBRIEN
9 HABERFIELD
10 TAIT
11 GEORGE
12TH MAN COOPER

SMITH must play
That leaves COOPER/BORGAS possible 12th man
Both on last years form would be stiff to miss out
COOPER would even out the top order and allow KLINGER to bet 3 + COSI 4

Those dreary Tasmanian SS batters will be revitalised if DIGHTON and BIRT are selected
They are 2 extremely dangerous batsman

BIRT who does not get a gig in SS is a brilliant brilliant one day and 20 over blinkbash star
Mark my words when Mick Clarke becomes a 20 over liability for AU , my boy Travis Birt will take his spot
BIRT is good enough to play 50 over cricket for AU
AU won the tournament in SA becoz the pitches are AU like
But we need a man who hits spinners into grandstands, ala Birt

Who will win ?

TA team in probable batting order

1 DIGHTON
2 PAINE
3 COWAN
4 BAILEY
5 BIRT
6 BUTTERWORTH
7 KREJZA
8 GEEVES
9 DOHERTY
10 DREW
11 HILFENHAUS

Likely 12th man FAULKNER

Prob a batter short but all those tailenders can bat ok and score quickly

Our Sponsor SPORTSBETs odds

SA $1-85
TA $1-95

KLINGER $4-50 most runs for SA
DIGHTON + PAINE $4-25 most runs for TA

With CLEARY and to a lesser extent DUVAL out
and with PAINE/DIGHTON/BIRT/HILF/DOHERTY/DREW in from the SS game
you would think TA will be a far more difficult side to beat from the SS game

i agree mal, how can the bloke that almost everyone said did more than enough to get on the ashes tour at the conclusion of last season NOT MAKE the final 11 of todays domestic match...it is more than just bewildering it is disgraceful & atm we are paying the penalty (sa 4/111 after 26 overs)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

5/114 [27]
Im with you BAYMAN how can the selectors not pick KLINGER ???????????
He cant be injured ??????
Otherwise he would not be 12th man

An to think last years run machine FERGUSON is not playing makes the KLINGER selection even more baffling

Good fightback after slow start. Absolutely baffled as to why Klinger is not playing. Borgas keeps getting opportunities while putting in mediocre efforts. Cmon Taity..... Fire up.
