Ripe - The Plastic Hassle. Possibly the most underated australian album of the early 90's. Reliving the night that me and about 30  other people saw them play at the Proscenium.

I'm wondering if I was there - certainly saw them a couple of times, always good.

FYI A friend of mine put out a track by Moondriven (a Ripe offshoot) on a compilation album in the mid 90s. Not sure if they're still around?

Same night as Velvet Hammer and The Millards were on the bill from memory would have been election night 1993 (the night Keating won).

The Max Q album is spoken about here and downloadable - think the Dogs in Space soundtrack is there too if you sniff around for it http://stripedsunlight.blogspot.com/

A Sydney band from the early-mid 90's called The Verys. I picked up their one and only CD on Red Eye Records the other day for $5. I saw them support Deniz Tek at Heaven in 94 and remember thinking at the time whilst they are good they are like every second band around at the moment many of whom CAN'T get a recording contract. I stand by that.

That's good to hear LL, I know Charlie was supposedly pretty pumped up for this tour. Apparently they're releasing a retrospective CD to coincide with it. I think they were meant to be doing an instore at Missing Link and they're playing in Sydney tomorrow night.

Hopefully in stores today or tomorrow. Will be grabbing it as soon as I can. The Tote gig was a little bit of whos whos of the Adelaide scene in the 80's. Liz Dealey, Chris Willard, Jim Selene and some "bastard" who use to do a show on Triple M (3D).

I've heard a few of those names mentioned to me before from my friend who's mates with Charlie. Was the guy from 3d Radio an Eddie or a Lewie?
