I'm wondering if I was there - certainly saw them a couple of times, always good.

FYI A friend of mine put out a track by Moondriven (a Ripe offshoot) on a compilation album in the mid 90s. Not sure if they're still around?

... the Max Q album he did with Ollie Olsen (along with Rooms for the Memory) were the best things he ever did and still stands up today.

Yeah very much!! Speaking of which I saw Grong Grong last saturday night at the Tote. Bloody amazing ....still!

A Sydney band from the early-mid 90's called The Verys. I picked up their one and only CD on Red Eye Records the other day for $5. I saw them support Deniz Tek at Heaven in 94 and remember thinking at the time whilst they are good they are like every second band around at the moment many of whom CAN'T get a recording contract. I stand by that.

That's good to hear LL, I know Charlie was supposedly pretty pumped up for this tour. Apparently they're releasing a retrospective CD to coincide with it. I think they were meant to be doing an instore at Missing Link and they're playing in Sydney tomorrow night.
