The Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club wishes to advise Club Captain Corey AhChee announced his retirement from League Football at Friday nights A.R McLean Medal Presentation.
“Corey has been an outstanding player for not only the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club but also for South Australia. He has been a perfect role model for young people both in the community and the football club. His playing record shows why he is so highly regarded at the Port Adelaide Magpies. AhChee was recruited from the Darwin Football Club and began playing reserves football in 1999 and making his league debut in Round 1 the following year. After playing 22 League games in 2000 Corey was announced Runner Up Best & Fairest in his first season of league football. In 2002 he went one step better winning the AR McLean Medal. In 2008 AhChee was announced as Club Captain and has lead by example in the famous No 1 Guernsey. Over his 10 year career Corey has played a total of 205 league games and represented the state on 7 occasions.
The Club wishes to sincerely thank Corey for his wonderful commitment to Port Adelaide and wishes him, fiancé Lisa & daughter Madison every success in the next exciting phase in their lives.
