Ron is an excellent choice, well done SAFC you have got this right. Now if all others at SAFC who aren't the coach stay out of his way and let him do what he has done and can do very well.....coach footy teams into finals.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

5 years a little optimistic when recent history suggests 5 months is about the avergae tenure at the Panthers.

Strange, I thought Ron was keen for a break?

great appointment by South, IF they stick with Ron for 5 years they will be a much better club at the end of his tenure.

Now which Eagle players will Ron Fuller head hunt to come over to South.

Maybe Mark Passador out of retirement.

How can you be on the selection committee and appoint yourself? Conflict of interest?

The press release from South stipulated that Ron withdrew himself from the selection committe half way through the process when he realised he was keen to apply himself. All above board in that regard...

I was thinking exactly that.

At my next job interview I'll ask if I can sit on the board that decides it for half the process first!

PS Any truth in the rumour that Boyd has asked for a transfer already?

Think you'll find South had a hidden agenda in asking Ron to find a new coach in the first place. All part of the plan to get him as senior coach! My mail anyway!
