Only good thing is they will have some good kids in the club, but there are plenty of spuds in the 22-28 year old bracket, including a couple they have drafted in

Going to be a long year IMO

How about Tredrea publicly saying Boak is as good a player as J Selwood!

'Dud half forward' ???

Won't Tredrea be holding that down?

AA CHF, Premiership Captain,Multiple B&F, I guess as a Crows fan you wouldn't have ever seen a top quality CHF so you're not really in a position to judge.

I've seen them. Just not playing for our club. Mark Stevens was probably our best we've had there and he was more of a tryer than an out and out star.

But as Psyber said, I think Tredrea's best is long gone and Port will struggle to get a decent return from him next season.

Despite going missing often in big games, throughout the seasons Matty Robran was a pretty useful CHF for the Crows ... Obviously not in Tredrea's class, but he had ability and was a key element to the Crows structure in their double.

I was just about to post that CP. Robran is the best CHF the Crows have had. He didnt go missing in the 98 prelim - kicked a bag if i recall.

That's right. He was always encouraged by Blight to go the torp and he nailed a few in his time.

Also took a cracker hanger in the goal square against Geelong at Kardinia.

I know nothing!!!!! *this can't be used as a signature  *

IMO, will ( and should ) get picked ahead of the two Hoff's. Not a master stroke but worth a punt. Will add some hardness to the front half*.

Rucci's response (or should I say, sook):

http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,26185722-5016212,00.html

In the words of Heath Franklin's Chopper - Harden the f$%k up Rucci.

Stuff like this flies around all the time, just don't be precious about it and let it stick.

In reality there's only one way for Port to shut everyone up, and that's on the field.

Let me rephrase that then. He has always been terrible.... but lately he is more pathetic than ever. Better ?

I love how he included this at the start of the article.

Rucci wrote:PORT Adelaide bashing is in full swing now. Along the way, so is the reputation of SA football and its fans.

What a load of rubbish. This is just about Port and has nothing to do with the Crows or the other footy clubs here in SA. Such an arrogant club deserves all they get in my opinion.

I don't know what strange dictionary Rucci claims to have consulted about the word "feral".
This is what mine says, and it seems apt.
[I don't favour the [feer-uhl] variation on pronunciation though I learned it as "fe.ral"]

fe⋅ral1 [feer-uhl, fer-]
1. existing in a natural state, as animals or plants; not domesticated or cultivated; wild.
2. having reverted to the wild state, as from domestication: a pack of feral dogs roaming the woods.
3. of or characteristic of wild animals; ferocious; brutal.

Wedgie, there is no more accurate statement that port havent recovered from the 07 grand final, its flown right through the club and in my opinion, getting rid of mark williams may have been the culture change that the club so desperately needs. As for everybody slagging port, well lets be honest every club is going through or has been through some hardship of some kind. Geelong are going great guns at the moment, but in the period of 89-95 lost 4 from 4 grand finals.....the bulldogs, melbourne, north melbourne and hawthorn are some clubs that in the last 15 years have contemplated merging or folding, and are all still in existence, and port will be no different. Not directed at anybody but its easy to kick teams when they are down........port wont be a force for at least 5-7 years and everyone realises that, but we will be back eventually. As for our supporter base, well its pretty hard to get fans when they predominately come from supporters from our 9 sanfl clubs, and when 8 of those clubs hate the port adelaide magpies with a passion, its pretty obvious to see that our supporter base was never going to be as strong as the crows. My problem with the power supporter base is we can get an admirable crowd when success is there, but they all disappear when the tide turns, more so than other clubs. Im a die hard supporter and i will stick with my club through thick and thin, and its shattering when you see empty seats when the boys need them most, yet when success is floating ie 2001-2004, port were getting pretty good attendances....
