Maybe the track has been resurfaced?

Was very bumpy last year.

How do you know that it's been resurfaced? were you up there last year and are you currently up there?

Good result on Day 1 with Lowndsey extending his lead over Kelly in the championship race.

I didn't know it had been resurfaced, was just a (since proven to be partially accurate) guess based on the large performance improvement.

Looks like I spoke to soon, Rick Kelly beat Lowndes in the last 2 races (I was astounded to see he was something like 16/1 to win this round, I knew I should have got on!).
Lowndes is only 30 points in front of Kelly now with 3 rounds to go. It looks like these 2 will battling to the end.
Now 6 rounds to Ford and 4 to Holden so this race is still alive too.

wedge 16/1 is far to long for your betting

Good to see the rival ford teams conspiring to stuff up Lowndes' championship chase...

While the Holden Boys operated as a team beautifully...

Loving it :) A group of us from work (a Holden Dealer) went to the Rex Hotel ($4 pale ale imp pints :partyman: ) Sunday arvo to watch the race after warming up at Kartmania and one of them is a Ford supporter. You should have heard him yelling at the tv at the other Ford drivers blocking Lowndsies run.
