Reasons to extend the premiership run....

Postby Dogwatcher » Wed Oct 07, 2009 6:05 pm

I can understand people being fed up with Centrals being on top....come and get us.

Believe it or not, there is plenty of pressure to maintain a run like this. The more you win, the more you fear losing.
And there are always reasons to win and disprove opposition theories.

So here's some reasons for Centrals to keep winning flags:

2010 - To give the Gowans boys nine flags and have been equal with Geof Motley.
2011 - To give the Gowans boys 10 flags and beat Motley's record - wiping another Port Adelaide record off the top.
2012 - To prove the club won't drop off once the Gowans boys finally retire.
2013 - To set a new record of seven consecutive premierships.

Anyone want to add any more?
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Still 5 more than 8 ;)
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Forgetting another club also with 13 flags perhaps or is Sturt somehow more important?

It's been 2 flags, loss, 3 flags, loss, 3 flags

So they haven't got 4 in a row yet

I thought of this the other day and cursed that there was still motivation for them!

If the Dogs keep winning it means Glenelg and Eagles fans will never have to worry about the prospect of needing more than one hand to count their flags. That's a good thing!
It's always handy having a spare hand!

Hmm good point, but I am envious as I only have 1 foot spare which can be awkward, god knows how Port Magpies fans get around to it!

Perhaps that's why they changed their name and moved to the AFL? To let their fans start over again.......
