haha nah mate, just having a little bit of fun. So you guys hoping to get a few new players for 2010 ? Your depth really hurt you last year I reckon but with a few players pushing the A's you could have a good year.

Dont think Danny has too many options with the hairstyle these days! Not sure Choccies about new players etc, no doubt the club are working on it, to be honest we have plenty to work with within the current group, problem this year was the commitment level from those on the fringe, a few injuries and the guys coming up werent fit enough, in tune with game plans etc, ability was there just not dedication. Just my opinion anyway. What about you guys?

Thats exactly what I meant mate. I've got no doubts about your core group in the A's but the 18, 19, 20, 21 etc coming up from the B's left a bit of a hole that made it difficult to go the next step.

We dont think we will lose anyone except Scuddsy but we never really had him this year anyway and adapted to playing a game style without him after a while which was probably a good thing for us in the end. Hopefully another summer and some of the young blokes will bulk up a bit and add that bit of grunt we seemed to miss a bit this year. Even better is hopefully the clubrooms will be up and running in 2010 !!!!

I'm not Choccies, but I know who is rumoured to be coaching GG in 2010. This years A grade and div 1 coach at Tea Tree Gully Mark Weaver is set to take up the reins at GG in 2010!

Mark has played and coached at Pooraka in previous years. Great bloke and judging by TTG in the past couple of years a super coach. Great pick-up if this is true! Care to elaberate Choccies?

Nothing to add yet but this is what I have been hearing as well. If so a great pick up and just what we need to continue the progression made by Mitch over the last few years. 2010 is a make or break year for us in our quest to keep moving up the grades so IF we got a coach like Mark Weaver on board that'd certainly be a huge boost. And great from my personal point of view also... ;) Whether there'd be any TTG boys likely to follow him is an interesting issue also...

As for Scuddsy, we won't be seeing the big fella. Apparently Virginia think they can get more than 4 games out of him next year so he has headed out there.

If Weaver was to move on from the gullies then he would be an excellent pick up for Golden Grove. Not sure any of the TTG boys would want to drop down that many divisions though.

No, I agree Mr B but there comes a time in some blokes lives where after years of playing at a high level the opportunity to wind down a little and play at a lower level comes before them and it's enticing to say the least... Never say never.

Be interesting to see how many games he plays out there if he's on a weekly payment again instead of a match payment

You think he got paid for sitting on the sidelines do you test ?? Without knowing for sure, I think I would highly doubt that...

If anything it helped alot of the guys who probably relied on his input a bit too much to step up and they certainly did that. Be interesting to see how many games he plays out at Virginia and what sort of shape he turns up in fitness wise...

That will be interesting, was surprised how big he was when we played you's the second time, i know he hadnt played for a while but gee he'd stacked on heaps of weight. I thought in 08 he was in quite good shape for a guy with his build.
