Today, from a person in the know who wishes not to be identified, I learned the issue between Rann and the guy wielding the magazine was a woman.

Apparently there have been a few.
My informant is an active member of the Labor Party.
Rann is [or has been] an active member too. ;)

It would appear that our stainless steel leader may be showing some rust – the media minders are working 24/7 to get the media off his case – a lot of suggestions of future exclusion are being handed out

ALP cries foul as South Australia Premier Mike Rann ruckus builds

GREG KELTON, RUSSELL EMMERSON
October 08, 2009 12:01am

THE next state election is shaping up as "a very dirty campaign", Treasurer Kevin Foley warns.

Mr Foley said what had occurred in the past week had been "very nasty, very personal" and demonstrated there would be a very dirty campaign leading up to the next election.

This coming from the likes of Foley and Conlon

Gee, that would be convenient wouldn't it?

Ha ha ha, now the Premier has control over when court cases happen? Taking this a bit far the other way Wedge.

I'm not suggesting anything mate, just said it would be convenient. ;)
But I do giggle at your insinuation that political motives don't have influence when it comes to court cases, just ask Paul Nemer about that one!

There was a political motive behind the prosecution, not the Court's decision. The Sentencing Justice actually did stuff up pretty badly in that one.

The scumbag who masquerades as Premier, has interfered a number of times in the judical process, Nemer, McGee, Von Einem, Miller etc. This might be politically popular but it is still wrong

or maybe after a period of mouthing off like unexpected and temporary victors, you’ve copped some of your own crap to face. Enjoy the taste of what you’ve been dishing up every week comrade

And it is appalling the amount of my tax money that is used to ply me with propoganda in this State - something that cannot be denied

Speaking of comrades it was humorous seeing Cory Bernardi taken to the cleaners by one Janet Albretschen on Q&A tonight.

Eh, Utegate, Martin Hamilton-Smith? You right-wingers are truly something else so hysterical & irrational. You lot do nothing but fling s__t around like two year olds in a cot 24/7 and you've got the sheer audacity to claim "we" are the ones doing it? At the absolute worst Rann's been cheating on his wife, so what? That would be a personal & private matter between the people involved and has nothing to do with his ability to do his job.

Some of the right-wingers on here no joke, you've got Mick going on about his Nazi-era German fantasies oblivious to the fact that the people Hitler hated the most after the jews were communists (lefty's), Psyber rattling on about this attacker needing to pay $600 to get in (Labor stooge!!1!) even though it's been reported since last week that the guy came from a wine function in another part of the building and now Jimmy's feigning concern over his tax dollars being spent on propaganda when we haven't heard anything from him about the hundreds of millions used by the Howard Government on WorkChoices or if he approved of the Billions of tax payer money wasted on those top notch fighter jets from the same regime.

Had one too many reds with dinner again hey Jimmy? I'm really not sure if I should take this post seriously but I will say Howard slapped WorkChoices on to the people with no vote, mate. "We" got to vote on it in 2007 after it had already become law and the guy not only lost office & his own seat but destroyed his own party. His cabinet wanted him to resign, he said he would only if they admit they told him to stand down and it wasn't by choice so they jumped back in their box and went over the cliff with him.

Seriously though drop the carry on and all that, do you honestly believe the Liberal Party has even the slightest chance whatsoever of getting in at the next State or Federal elections? I mean come on, your Party here is almost bankrupt, totally irrelevant & only the rusted on blue bloods give a damn anout the Liberal Party anymore. Rann Labor have taken over the centre-right (unfortunately IMO) marginalising your mob to the fringes. Former Liberal Premiers, the Catholic Church, the vile Crosby/Textor are now all in Rann's/Labor's pocket. Rann advised Rudd on his 2007 campaign and he's followed suit marginalising the federal Libs to the far-right. They're a complete and utter rabble as factional dalek's like Minchin keep pushing them over the edge. Like they always say the Born-to-Rule Liberal Party never does Opposition well.

That's an interesting interpretation of the conversation on qanda, and not what I saw happening..
I don't entirely agree with Cory's views, but that show was just a group of individuals all convinced they were right, and trying to shout each other down.
He was simply a bit more civilised, and was prepared to shut up after stating his position, rather than carry on bullying like the highly biased advertising man.
The show's format offers no possibility of resolving issues or being anything but a slug-fest
Germaine Greer was probably the most reasonable and balanced person on the show..

I can understand from your posts here that you would prefer the abusive and bullying approach to rational debate of the issues.

Maybe so Gozu, but I reckon it will be enough to cost him votes, especially if is true and he continues to plead innocent and deny it...I would say if it is true there will be some worries in the Labor camp
