He was the only person in the Sturt cheersquad I liked and got along with!

It's all the SANFL's fault.

You'll have to read my description again. Mullet, druggie shirt wearing, goon bag in hand, 35 to 40 y.o. Big Craig is still around although, he tends to spend more time with the Norwood cheer squad these days.

Can't see a problem with the end to enders, i thought most cheerquads used to do that back in the day moving each quarter? flares i'm not keen on but they wont effect me because i won't be near where they are being let off, if anyone should be worried about getting hurt i'd say centrals supporters should be the ones.

I don't really care either way about the flares but I can see how others are put off or annoyed by them.
Hence, if you have a problem email/write/ring the SANFL and express your opinion to them.

I see your point DW and it is up to the individual to do so, but it's about time some blame is landed where it's due, this is a problem of your club and some of it's supporters, I just read alot of moronic denial in general from CDFC people on this site. If you're all happy and content with idiots at your games then that just about sums it up. However, it's good to hear some have respect to the comp, other people in general and to a game of footy.

Centurion, with respect I'd love to talk to some of the players about it, but I wouldn't take you seriously, but go your hardest.

In the mid seventies I got into Footy Park with flares
I didnt have the courage to have them off
Thats in the days when I wore white underpants underneath

I hate to do this to you DW but here was your opinion after last year's GF:

Your stupidity is a poor reflection on what should have been a wonderful celebration at the southern end. I will support any punishment meted out to this DH.

Why so ambivalent this year?

PS: I only did this because I was sure you got fired up last year about it

Centrals' fans passion for their club and the SANFL = AAA+++ .... the tiny minority with the flares = D-

first time I remember a flare at a Dogs game was about 94 or 95, particularly in games at Norwood Oval.

Oh OK - I see the distinction

You reckon the same bloke that threw it last year let it off this year ;)

Throwing it is worse I agree but, still, if they aren't even in the ground there's no chance of it being thrown

Not strictly true, I'll lend you the lost game DVD, that game at the Bay in 1975....plenty of flares with the Dogs fans that game....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

What is it (was it) with Norwood Oval and Norwood vs Central?

Anyway, I'll tell you how easy it was to smuggle things into Footy Park.

I simply walked in with my camera bag, expecting to be asked to have a look (with no queue or anything behind me as it was before the Reserves match). Not an eyelid battered.

Unfortunately after I took one photo it showed low battery (should have charged it) so that's why you don't see any on here from the week gone.

Of course the other sure way of preventing Centrals fans lighting flares at the Grand Final is for at least two other teams to beat them in the finals and prevent them from getting there!

Just asking him the question. I respect his opinions and posts and I recalled him being upset about it last year that's all. I was interested in what changed his opinion but didn't pick up on the word "threw".

Absolutely no ulterior motive. He's definitely a long way away from MORONIC
