At this point in time we are establishing a quality young list, the likes of which the AFL has never seen in your home, the Gold Coast. As a young player with a number of games under his belt and having spent time in what is well regarded as one of the best equiped AFL clubs ( Adelaide Crows ) we are happy to supply you with a blank cheque which we would appreciate you fill out and return to us by 1 Jan 2010. This will enable us to utilise out very,very deep salary cap to best negotiate with other young AFL stars we wish to add to our list.

Your key role in not only the on field but off field goings on as a key member of the leadership group will see you exposed to many potential sponsors which do not fall within the confines of our salary cap.

Your Mum,Dad,family and girlfriend have expressed that you consider this proposal before filling out the cheque that is enclosed.

Rest assured that in your 5 year deal we have the ability to increase not only your earning capacity but the opportunity to establish you as the name,face and star of the newest most exciting AFL franchise.

Also included is a 2 night stay in Penrith and Parramatta.

Thankyou for your correspondence and attached blank cheque. I appreciate your intentions in building a strong team and know that this will be fantastic for the development of the game in my home town, and your offer is certainly tempting.

However, the Adelaide Football Club have vested much time and effort into my development since I have been based here, and I feel that they should be the ones to benefit should I amount to anything in the next few years. I have also made many friends amongst the playing group and around the club, and feel that together we have a real potential to challenge for an AFL premiership very soon.

It is due to these reasons that I have decided to decline your generous offer and chosen instead to sign with Adelaide for 3 more years. I thankyou for the assistance your offer gave in inflating negotiations with my current club, and I wish you all the best as you assemble your inaugural squad.

Just wanted to publicly declare my relief and joy that Kurt has signed on. To finally have the key forward that we have been lacking for a decade and then to lose him would have almost been too much and i may have had to switch my allegiances to the GC as they will dominate the next decade from 2012 onwards

big KT really has to step up and present himself this week. i reckon he is feeling the pressure and this is affecting his performance. Being the highest paid crows player is sure to bring the pressure.
