That appeared to be the thrust of what TR was saying - that Port are not being realistic...
Port could get nothing for him in the end if they don't work from his current worth.

Thank you Psyber this is exactly what I was saying ;)

Luke Ball has told St Kilda tonight he wishes to be traded, and is asking for Collingwood as his club of choice
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Burgoyne is a good player but why all the fuss? Wow. Don't fool for it Hawthorn, Williams is in love with Shaun and wants an unrealistic return.

I've heard whispers that Sydney have sounded out Brendon Fevola, with a 4-year deal supposedly on the table.

Also a move to one of the Adelaide clubs has been touted for 'Neon' Leon Davis.

Port will trade Mitch Farmer to Richmond for Jay Schulz today apparently...I know they aint giving up much to get him but seriously surely he is not the answer to their forward line after the Tredrea era.

Sounds like Hawthorn will offer Campbell Brown and pick 9 for Shaun Burgoyne. It has been reported Port are happy with this and are spending the next 24 hrs convincing Brown on the move.

This seems like a good result for Port, who have an over-inflated idea of what Shaun Burgoyne is really worth. There was no way that Hawthorn were ever going to trade Lewis, Birchall or Schoenmakers.

It sounds like Hawthorn fans feel their club also have an over-inflated idea of what Burgoyne is worth by offering Campbell. Some are livid!

I reckon that's an outstanding deal for Port if it happens.

This is what happens when there's competition because it sounds like Essendon were upping the ante on Hawthorn.

You would also imagine the Hawks must have been feeling the Salary Cap pinch ... With having to fit the likes of Hodge, Franklin, Roughhead, Mitchell etc plus now Gibson and Burgoyne, they must surely have had to part with someone on reasonable coin.

You'd think they would have preferred to keep Brown, but you have to give to receive ... If this deal does indeed go ahead, I agree, very good result for Port.

Yes, salary cap must be part of it. He turns 27 next year and is just what Port are lacking. I'll be interested to see if this goes through. Brown will feel like he's been shafted but that's the AFL system.

Has a sense of dejavu about it. Bit like when Damian Hardwick was brought in for his toughness. He would be an outstanding asset for the Power. I bet the Power hierachy are rubbing their hands together as we speak.

All they have to do now, is convince Brown that Port Adelaide is the place for him. Given current circumstances this may be the hardest part....

Campbell Brown's (completely fair) hit on a silly Irishman in 2008 International Rules Comp:

There's a rumour that Leon Davis is off to Freo for Brett Peake and 2nd round draft pick

Whether or not that will be a real trade, Davis' name has come up regulary in trade rumours

I was very critical of Brown after his tirade against Lloyd some weeks back, but hey, if we have a jumper for him and he is happy to move then I'm all for it.

Not the most skilled bloke out there but he has what we lack at the moment. A burning desire to win.
