Why make that comment. Another great effort by the doggies and i am sure if your side was there it would mean a bit more.

He's a Norwood supporter... as I've noted in another post, they have to go back 100+ years to get to their halcyon days... its just sour grapes for being ridiculously crap themselves for so long. Centrals were great today and have been great for 10-15 years... we'd all love to be in their position and gloating about so many flags, we can't, so all fun to them...

Winners are grinners...

Thats the best decade of SANFL footy dominance Ive ever seen
It now shades Sturt in the 60s
NW in the Boer War times
PA in the 50s

QUIZ
Who was the last club to beat CD this season ?
Adelaide Hawk, Constance Perm, JAS and NFC are not allowed to answer

Im sure every CD supPORTer would luv a crack at PA in a Grand Final
SA/NW/PA still remain the teams CD has not beaten in a Grand Final

Congrats to Matthew Slade on a brilliant career
Congrats and a special mention to Chad Osullivan

I thought Eddie Sansbury Could have won the Jack Oatey MEDAL
He is a Grand Final speciallist
From memory in the G/F win over WA he kicked 5 goals and was it most of them standing a future Brownlow Medallist ?

Terrific Central - well done.

Thought the key point of the game was that 5-10 minute period during the 2nd quarter when Sturt had complete control of play, but could not get a major on the board. Central then just grind out goal after goal through pressure and some quality entries into their forward 50. O'Sullivan was just about B.O.G. when he broke his leg and thought that might have been a costly loss to Central, but they were too good.

Sturt didn't lie down and have had a great season, but they were no match for Central when it counted.

A fitting end to a decade of dominance. This finals series very much mirrored the way Central have done it so often. Not always the standout team until the very end when it matters most.

Well done to Matthew Slade. One of the greats of the SANFL.

To CSbowes, mate you sound way to nice after your side just got done for the ultimate prize.
If it had gone the other way would we of seen such humility ,or a total utter jubilation and we shoved it right up the a holes.
I think the latter, you my friend ,have got to harden up a bit, when Sturt beat us in 2002 we were shattered mate,no ifs no buts, your humility is startling and more than likely a false brave face.
Deep down you are actually spewing and hate centrals guts, why not come out and say it ,as your posts pre GF hinted to ,stop pussy footing around mate, there are quite a few of us out here who are confused which one you are,the general consensus is we have been talking to the puppet on the left ....and all the while we were under the false impression we were communicating with the human being on the right.
Cheers 8)

Central seem a class above the SANFL at the moment and thoroughly deserve their win.

The SANFL made the decision not the allow the North Eastern Suburbs to be represented in the SANFL, so the result is that the players in the area go and play for sides in the footprint of the CDFC, giving the Doggies a huge pool of talent to draw from in addition to the area of talent that they already have. The SANFL can go bring in as many import rules as they like, it will only make Central a stronger side as their players are home grown anyway. If South cant ever be good enough then I hope Central continue to win and continue to shove it right up the SANFL. :-bd

Goalspread: CCSSCCSCCCCCCCSSSCSC

Started and finished well did Sturt, and probably ended up with more disposals, inside 50s and all that other stuff than Centrals, but those middle stages by the Dogs were sheer brilliance.

What a day! I am exhausted. Arrived in Adelaide from London on Friday. Surprised my family in the car park before the game this morning. Thoroughly enjoyed my first game of SANFL in two and a half years.

About to head down to the club to celebrate.

Congratulations Matt Slade on a great career and well done Dogs, what a magnificent achievement.

Gee, plenty of sour grapes so far on this thread...

Just got home from the match...I can hear the after-party from my house in Elizabeth North!!! 8)

I thought when Sully went down we were in real trouble as he's been one of our best players this year and I was thinking "who are we going to replace him with?". But like the champions that they are, Centrals just kicked on afterwards.

Highlight for me was that goal to Callinan at the Northern End. THAT WAS ABSOLUTE MAGIC!!!

Thought that the crowd (35,647) was pretty reasonable. Congrats to Delta Good...er, sorry Trent Goodrem for winning the Jack Oatey Medal. And to Matty Slade for a great career!

Spent most of the last quarter staring at peoples backs and breathing in flare smoke

I thought Stormin Norman's inclusion of Chambo and Thurstans was an absolute winner!!!

And lastly, I like to address one thing. Now, most Sturt supporters are pretty decent blokes (I  CSBowes) except for the bloke I call "Ralph the Mouth" L-). He was one of the most vocal members of the Sturt Queersquad at that June match @ Unley. I spent most of that day hearing the drongo ranting that Sturt have got the flag all sewn up and the SANFL should just give them the cup right then. The one thing I would have loved to see today would have been the look on his face as the final siren went (he's on the cover of todays Sunday Mail...he's the one just above Jade Sheedy's head with the chick on his shoulders who's holding a camera). Cheer's buddy i'll be thinking of you tonight as I down another beer!!!

REIGN ON YOU MIGHTY PREMIERS!!!

You do realise the North east suburbs is largely Norwoods zone don't you and all clubs have roughly equally the same number of kids in their zones??? So if you think their zone gives them any possible leg up you are sorely mistaken.

Anyway kudos to Centrals I broke my vow an did watch 15 mins of the 1st quarter and it was painfully obvious the result of the game. As I said after the 2nd Semi final you just have to admire the way they go about their footy. It has been a day of what if for me. Happy with our two flags but gee it should've been three or at least another failed GF

Only ourselves to blame history doesn't record what ifs it only records what actually happened. Undeniable that Centrals are the premier team of 2009 and deserve every accolade that comes their way.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
