I went to Sturt training tonight. Chambers ran freely in a straight line, kicked and marked well and took part in all aspects of training tonight, however there was no zig-zag, sideways movement challenges for him, his ability to lead one way and then double back is still under a cloud in my mind and I thought at one point he was shaking his leg a bit a la it being a bit proppy. Overall I reckon he looked okay, but whether he would be 100% effective on game day is questionable.

One really can't tell how good-a-condition he is in at the moment... he's certainly not being taken around in a wheel chair, but then he's not looking like the Greatest American Hero either (for fans of that show).

For me I reckon he's certain to be named tomorrow night and then possibly pulled on Saturday from the squad...

Thurstons unknown, out there tonight, but did not train.

i feel sorry for both clubs as i can see tony dey ruining what promises to be a great game.....i think it'll be close to about halfway through the third term & then i can see central getting on top through mainly buckets just like the qualifying final & he'll win the jack oatey again

how can tony dey be in the top 3 umpires in the league ? he should be umpiring the 9.05 game (not that we want him)

good luck to both clubs as you've earnt the right to be there & may the best team on the day win
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

A decision won't be made until late Saturday.

If he's admitting he's 50/50 at this point, he shouldn't be playing.

Actually, if he's saying he's only 50/50 then he is a certainty to play.

Wow, I agree with you bayman. Tony Dey would be odds on to ruining a potentially good game.

"Potentially good game" ??? Its a GF and the doggies are playing that makes it a good game to start with. If it is tough and close that makes it a great game. Put away the whistle umps and let the players play footy.

I do want him to play. Playing injured players in a GF is a big mistake but even if he is 100% fit (which I doubt) I can't remember him being a match winner in any final that I have seen.

A strong looking team for sure. You are definitely the overwhelming, clear-cut, lock it in favourites.

A very impressive line up for Centrals, and one of the strongest they've fielded this year.

We know Leigh Westhoff is out (unlucky, he's been playing great the past couple of weeks), I think Matthew Westhoff will also drop out, and sadly I think Jenner will be the other player to miss out.
