Fair point but they didn't improve.

I think Sydney would be the one's. They won't have Leo Barry, Jared Crouch, Nic Fosdike, Barry Hall, Tadhg Kennelly & Michael O'Loughlin next year so $$$ wise they'll be OK.

Fev for O'Keefe ?

Wouldn't that depend on the details of his contract?
You'd think that on past form his last contract would have included a clause to give them an out if he got on the booze again...

If I were a Carlton supporter, I would be happy with that trade.

How about Fevola to Freo, then Tarrant + third round pick to Carlton?

Can't believe the Fev was fired. Who is going to kick the goals now?

Still wouldn't rule out remaining at Carlton as an option, I'd imagine they can offest his wage against a veterans listing, a luxury not afforded to any new club he heads to.

Otherwise you'd think Sydney, Collingwood or Essendon

Exactly, he may be a knob but 180 odd goals in the last two years is mighty hard to replace.

To be classed as a veteran do you have to have reached "veteran status" at the 1 club or can this be transferred (so to speak).

I was always of the understanding it was for services rendered at a club and as such not transferable.

Apparently Fevola has nominated his club(s) of choice and they are Collingwood and St Kilda. Can't see Malthouse or Lyon suffering his antics but who knows.

Why would he go to St Kilda? they have Riewoldt, Koschitzke. Cant see all three of them fitting in the forward line, and also the $$$ would make it hard.

For mine, i think Collingwood will get him.

Why would he go to Collingwood? They have Didak, Shaw, Wellingham. Can't see all four of them fitting in the front bar and the fines would make it hard.

From that Herald Sun article I can't see that Fev has been unconditionally sacked. All that Carlton seem to have confirmed is that he is being offered for trade.

If Carlton can't do a trade does that mean he stays on with the Blues next year and all is forgiven?

We saw in the game against the Saints last year where he spent 2 hours shaking the Saints players hands after the game. He has more mates there than what he's had at Carlton.
