AFL Grand Final Tickets

Postby Bum Crack » Tue Sep 22, 2009 5:48 pm

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who is heading over this weekend. My tickets that I was promised, fell through today, so had to get two tickets this arvo which cost me $2,200.00 which includes lunch and booze with entertainment at Etihad Stadium before the game. It is a joke how much they can charge, but that is what people are prepared to pay to see their team play in a grand final. Anyone else going over and if so, how much did you pay for your tickets???
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Bad luck about the tickets BC

I’m not a St K social club member this season so I got one through the Power a few weeks back. Came with a prelim ticket as well which I sold off, so overall cost me about $700. It is a ‘prime’ (although I think that expression is generous) seat. (RRP about $220 I think) Also comes with an invite to their brunch, but I doubt I’ll go to this. Better off looking around Melb with my girlfriend. 8)

Some of the prices through other clubs and travel agencies (and the afl themselves) are criminal really. Most single tickets on ebay are going for $1000+, so I have no regrets in picking one up when I did even if it a sh*tload of $$.
:-s

We did get a good deal on accomodation, so that cushioned the cost somewhat.

Go you sainters ;)

I am over in Melbourne for the Grand final, and although my team isnt playing im going to go to the grand final no matter what. Tickets over here are so hard to come by, the best deal i could find so far is 2 tickets at $400 each, probably going to grab those as they are undercover.
My other option is to go into federation square on friday night and saturday morning and see what i can find and what price. With the weather not looking so good, im thinking that a few scalpers will have a few tickets to sell and coming close to the game they should go for around the $250 mark.
If anyone is heading over for the footy show i have a couple of spare tickets.

Lads your best bet looking for AFL Grand Final tickets is at the VFL Grand Final Friday night at empty head stadium.
Last year in one of the main bars called 'the locker room bar' there were a lot of tickets changing hands for around 4 or 5 hundred a pop.
Its a lot of money but the theiving bastards outside the ground on Saturday will want twice that.
Good luck.
