Were the selectors correct in picking who ever? They won the game didn't they, makes it very hard to argue with that?

Congrats to Mallala on saturday. Went to the quarter time mallala huddle to see who would be doing the coaching as wasn't expecting K. Earl to be there. It was one of the more inspirational things i've seen in footy with Keith bandaged up addressing the players. Left the huddle knowing Two Wells had little chance after witnessing that.
One day original John Palmer will be found & the truth will be known.

Anyone seen/heard from wedge tail this season....it usually about now the internet connection comes good. Let Braz know that cans are now worth 10c and that the premiership tour bus will be on the move today and we can hold on to the empties if you wish. :D

Jumbo I'm sure you remember writing this a few months ago about the magpies in 2008. damn those footy gods.

There is really only one way to respond to the crap that Mallala have copped since loosing last year (deservedly so) and that was to win on Saturday so there's not a lot for me to say other than to remind Two Wells that it is Grand Final etiquette for captain and coach of the loosing team to come into the rooms of the winners for a chat after the game. Not something that is very enjoyable I'd have to admit Ace/Wedgie :( , but someone has to do it. Poor form!

All aboard

I hear the win was even more meritorious as they only had the bare numbers after half time, 1 in hospital, 1 with a broken collarbone and 1 with a belt to the head which sent him into orbit.
An even greater effort under those circumstances.

justify's the call by selectors NOT to pick blokes who missed the last game due to injury!

If that is true, its a disgrace upon the coach... Its a hard pill to swallow, but its called diginty and be respectful that you have been beaten by a better team on the day.

Perhaps Allmond and the coach did not pay their respects due to their grand final ignorance.

In all honesty I don't think Two Wells would have done it deliberately. I'm sure that would have been the last thing on their minds if at all, at that stage of the day. Have to give them the benefit of the doubt, their clubs been pretty impressive this year, 4 teams in a GF is a fair effort in anyone's book.

Im not from the APFL, but i was just reading that Two Wells made the GF in the A grade, shows a massive difference in the standard between the APFL and the BL&G, as Freeling who didnt win a game in the BL&G beat Two Wells in a trial game, pretty interesting i think

I think it shows what i said, a massive difference in standard between the two comps, if a top two side in the APFL cant beat a side who doesnt win a game in the BL&G, doesnt say much for the standard of the APFL does it?

Congratulations to Mallala, Two Wells and Balaklava for winning their respective grades. It was great to see Keith Earl there inspiring his troops to get over the line. I can't comment on any of the games as I would have watched about 5 minutes of footy all day at the most. Hope everyone had a great day and it was great that the weather gods turned one on for us after the last couple of weeks.

On Two Wells coach not coming to say g'day to you after the game Donkey, I personally don't think it matters much. Its not like you work hard and be motivated all year to win the GF just so that the opposition coach and captain come into the rooms afterwards. It has little significance to the big picture.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!
