Interested to know if any other country town has produced so many elite sportspeople. Kyabram is located in the Goulburn Valley in Victoria and has 5,800 people living there.

Well wagga wagga has about 20 000 people so it will and should produce more champions than Kyabram. However I'd give it to Ungaire, pop 373, it produced 4 Danihers brothers and a couple of decent Netballers too I believe.....

well its not a capital city nor a suburb so it is regarded a country town big enough to be a city. I bet for rep sides they are regarded as country athletes eg u15s,17s,19s etc

and you are spot on there heater. some teams whether juniors or seniors from wagga play against all the small towns, e.g footy, rugby ,union, netball, soccer, softball and tennis just to name a few sports.
