Interested to know if any other country town has produced so many elite sportspeople. Kyabram is located in the Goulburn Valley in Victoria and has 5,800 people living there.

And Paul Kelly. Was it '96 Wagga had produced both captains of the AFL Grand Final and Australia's two Test opening batsman?

Well wagga wagga has about 20 000 people so it will and should produce more champions than Kyabram. However I'd give it to Ungaire, pop 373, it produced 4 Danihers brothers and a couple of decent Netballers too I believe.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I dont belive Wagga Wagga is a country town. As far as I am concerned Kyabram is the Premier sporting country town of Australia.

well its not a capital city nor a suburb so it is regarded a country town big enough to be a city. I bet for rep sides they are regarded as country athletes eg u15s,17s,19s etc
