I'm no fan of the Imperial Footy Club but they certainly need to be congratulated on their effort yesterday.

Good to see the Eagles get up in the under 17's, there's a bit of junior talent there that will help the club's senior results over the coming years.

I noticed both Tailem and Jervois advertise for coaches in today's Sunday Mail. Looks like there could be a few changes in coach in the off season. Will be interesting to see if Fielke, Cross and Dougall continue in their roles next year.

Personally i think in order for someone to be called a "local" they either need to have played junior footy at the club, lived in the area as a kid, or not be paid. I think Temby could be classed as a local, but i wouldn't put Puckridge or Harrowfield in that category.

Does anyone know what Mannums number 7 was sent off for about 10 minutes before half time?? Massive swing in the momentum of the game when it happened. Was either very silly, or a Poor decision by Froogy (by the way not suggesting he had any impact on the game as it was umpires to a good standard), but 1 would think it would have to be quite bad to get sent off in a GF early.

I takes me half an hour each Sunday morning to read the country footy results from around the state to see how all the EP boys went. Every league seems to be littered with them. Come home fellas.

BB08 its about 2 players i think. But if you put STIMSON in as local who has been athe club for ten years its only 1.You cant hide the that IMPS had to load up with more recruits so you would win this year.After the CHOOKS winning last year it must hurt .Winning this year still wont heel the scares left by MAN 02 ,JERVOIS 04 06 07

Well done to Imps. Had my first taste of RMFL footy on the weekend as my beloved Mt Lofty were'nt playing in the HFL decider. What a great oval Mannum has. Gee wish our crew could play up here. The game was a bit of a let down as a spectacle. Imps just too good. The moment Clive got hit was game over. Would be interesting to see how Imps went in Central Division in the HFL. Then again maybe the 2 leagues should get together and have the premiers play each other in an end of year or pre season game. Based on what I've seen Imps would challenge for a finals spot but would not compete with our top 3. - Thats not being derogatory at all. They would make finals in country division. Well done to all for a great day out.

It really was a great day on Saturday. Mannum oval was in top nick and really was credit to them. Missed getting all 4 flags by 1 centremetre when the ball hit the post. The Under 17's were so brave all year and only had 19 official players on the books borrowing Under 15's each week it was a great effort.
The under 15's were simply awesome - undefeated all year. I have never seen an under 15 side play like this, switching the play all of the time running hard for each other etc.
The B Grade was simply awesome after losing to Mannum the past two times out there they were simply to young and quick they made Mannum look slow - John Vogan's tagging job on Cutter was simply outstanding Cutter basically had no influence on the game.
The A Grade well what can I say it just topped off an awesome day they never looked like getting beaten after half time. Chad Wingard is an absolute superstar and it's a pity he won't be around next year because no doubt this kid will get drafted. The Kenny boys were simply outstanding all day and the young defence that has played absolutely brilliant all year stood up again against the most dangerous forward in the league.

The only qualm was why were we in the away changerooms? Imps were the highest placed finisher and were straight into the GF so should have had the home changerooms.
