Its on, everything has gone to the script to date...whats your thoughts?

Cats definately showed the better form this weekend, but maybe the Saints had the tougher opposition

My early tip...The Cats

Would like St. K to win, poor things, but it'll probably be Geelong

I think the Cats will win it, yet I think a few people thought that last time they played St Kilda and were soon disappointed!

St Kilda have one flag - 1966. If they do win I think the fans that have stood by the club including those that were born after 1966 and have stayed true to the club justly deserve it. There is no fun in continuously seeing your side finish at the bottom of the ladder and to have never seen your side win a flag!

Either way its going to be a fantastic game of footy and hopefully one of the best Grand Finals we have seen in a long time!

I really hope its a classic in the same mould as the 89 GF.

Really hard to pick a winner, but i think Geelong's recent grand final experience could be the difference. Cats by 11 points.

Geelong to prevail comfortably - St Kilda to continue their curse.

It depends on so many things, heres a few of them:
The sainters backline is solid, a fricken lot better than Collingwoods. Dawson, Fisher, Gilbert and co are solid and will give the Cats forwards more trouble than they found last night.
The Cats backline is just as tough if not the toughest to crack. Scarlett, Harley, Taylor look more than capable of matching up on the saints twin towers.
So for me the game will again be won and lost in the middle. Im going to tip the Cats, only because to me there mdfield looks slightly better, probably only by a goal.

What does it mean to lose ?
SK will no doubt be called a club that falters when the going gets tough[ again]
GE will have enourmous pressure on them as well, another g/f loss and 1 flag from 3 years of Minor round domininance will be an underchievement

Who should the nuetral public support?
GE who play footy as it should be played
OR
SK who play ugly and make spectating a chore a times
Without doubt a GE win is a win for the game in general
A SK win will only encourage more clubs to play Soccer/Rugby err I mean Football

The winner
SK 2 points for thier 2nd flag
SK should dedicate this game to 3 people
Robert Harvey who will have mixed feelings, he would want a flag, but will have fixed emotions not being there
Trevor Barker for obvious reasons
Saintal who has the courage to admit he barracks for St Kilda and South Adelaide.

NostraMALdamus predicts on a dry day

SK 2-5.....5-8.....9-11....11-13
GE 1-2.....3-6.......7-8....11-11

Best on ground Sam Fisher who will again be opponentless most of the day

think the saints may have played their GF against Western Bullys, was a thriller and looked at the end that if they had won the GF already. Geelong to strong this week and i believe they will win and win easy. Might be like the GF against port for geelong was to hard to tip a winner on the day but the cats destroyed port in the end

Watching both games it was 2 different feelings. St. Nick's knee is a huge worry for the saints he needs rest and it operated on but he is refusing and when he lands on it he takes too long to recover. Cat were the cats of old playing for each other and played a real team game which is scary for that saints.
I am hoping for a cats win but i will not put on a prediction.

I think that after last years shock loss the cats are primed to win this one! If ling can quieten lenny hayes and mackie or taylor can negate reiwoldt cats should win comfortably! 8)

I would be astonished if that took place next weekend. Dare I say it, Bomber has coached very well during this finals series.

The Cats 2nd half against Collingwood showed how ruthless they are, they are hungary & determined to get back what they lost last year.
I'm hoping for a close Grand Final but i'm very confident Geelong will claw their way back to a convincing win.

I will wish you luck Wedgie, but I'd like to know what your thoughts were on the Cats chances in the Granny. You have been disturbingly accurate with your Cat predictions in the past.

I'd have the Cats as slight favourites, but we should be in for a real cracker going by the mid-season clash.

Geelong gave the Saints a pretty big head start in that match and nearly reeled them in.
No Stevie J for that one either and he played pretty well last night.

Saints really need goals from Kosi and Schneider or they are in big trouble.
The lack of goal scoring support for Saint Nick on Friday night almost cost them the game.

Their defence has been exceptionally strong all year, but I can't see them containing a full strength Cats forward line.
Will Tomahawk and Mooney have their kicking boots on though?
Their erratic skills could produce another nightmare scenario like last year.

In any case, my tip is Geelong 11-20.

St K by a goal ;)

The reliance on a hobbling Nick up forward is a worry. He's kicked 9 of our 21 goals in the two finals.
