Ideas Wanted - LIFE FM Grand Final Show

Postby PhilH » Sat Sep 19, 2009 12:14 pm

Hi everyone

I'm pleased to advise LifeFM will again be starting its Grand Final Day coverage from 12noon
with a gigantic THREE HOUR pre-game show leading into the big game at 3.10pm

As we put the show together, I'm keen for listener suggestions as to what YOU WANT to
listen to as we prepare for the big game.

Things we did last year

- Interviews (pre-recorded or live) with
- Coaches, captains, official from both clubs
- Rep from SANFL, umpires & GF entertainer
- past legends from each club
- fans from each club

- One hour panel show reveiwing the SANFL year

- regular updates of the Reserves GF including call of last 5 minutes

- Interaction with fans around the world via safooty.net with comments, questions and predictions.

- some pre-recorded audio pieces including Road To AAMI for both clubs.

Any idead please let me know, we are there for the listeners so your contributions are important.

Cheers
Phil Herden

Would be great of your panel consisted of someone with recent playing/coaching experience in the SANFL. A panel of yourself (PhilH), Doug Oakley/John Knakevill (sp??) and say Healey/Ginevar/Hill/Passador/Massie etc would be great.

I respect most of the people who commentate on Life and RPH but feel (like me) they lack indepth current football tactics and knowledge of the different teams gamestyles. Hence why I think you need to add to your panel.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Perhaps the wrap up of the clubs Phil could involve a statment from each CEO on where they feel they need to improve on the field and what they are doing off the field to ensure on going financial security.

Would make for interesting reading from some clubs.

Perhaps these:

(1) 2009 B&F Prediciton/review for each Club
(2) 2009 Most valuable new recruits for each club -
(3) 2009 Review of recruits and rookies for each club: describing what the club needed at the end of 2008, who was recruited or elevated, for what role, and was the role successfully filled etc...finishing with a "what does each league team require for 2010" section, recruiting v potential in U18s/reserves, the draft etc...
"And look at John Halbert"
" His whiskers have curled."

A blow by blow review of the 1974 Grand Final.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
