All the best to Senior Earl in his recovery, Terrible news.

Just a reminder to anyone who has been taking dogs to footy during the finals or if you know people that have been, to leave the dogs at home. It's a condition of entry at Long Plains for no dogs to be allowed. I would hate for someone to get upset at having to either take their dogs home or leave their dogs in the car all afternoon.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

To be perfectly honest with you Jumbo I am not quite sure if they've been a problem in the past. It is and always has been a condition of entry to our grounds that no dogs are allowed and it will be enforced on the weekend. Could have something to do with the ownership of the grounds and that we aren't covered by Council like every other club.

I guess what I'm trying to say is if you know someone who is likely to bring their dog, to tell them to leave it at home to save any embarassment/confusion at the gates.

No probs at all MC - I don't know anyone that brings dogs to footy - the only one I have seen over the last many years is the chap from Mallala that loved to parade his big dog around and around the ground. Don't ever recall it causing any problems.

That would be Mal "Fatty" Angus, used to walk the big Alsation aroung the ground all day offering the Umpires "Constructive Criticism" at the top of his voice, especially from behind the goals. Now he is on the Tribunal judging others coming up for abusing the umpires.

If not a load of s***t that's horrible news!!!!

It's a fact, pretty lucky boy I'm told. Will be in the "burns unit" for a while and won't be catching many footies for a long time.
If you wanted something to unsettle a team, this might be it.
Been a big couple of weeks for accidents in football circles.

Dont reckon there'll be too many coaches coaching in the APFL for while after this weekend!!

Swamp/Jumbo, how are the teams looking for tomorrow? Who's in who's out etc. Tell us the hard luck stories that unfolded at selection last night as their always is a couple of those each year.
One day original John Palmer will be found & the truth will be known.

Team is looking good mate, hopefully it'll be looking bloody happy too at 5pm Sat arvo!!

Some VERY tough calls had to made last night mate, usually its one bloke that is the unlucky one, we had 3-4 that would be devastated and rightly so, they all deserve to be out there given their contribution this season. That being said I don't think Two Wells need to know whats happening with the specifics of the Mallala side until they get the team sheet tomorrow afternoon sorry mate.

A fit squad all trained from what I saw - 4 could consider themselves unlucky but at least get a run in the 2's. A few disappointed that didn't make the B's - would have for sure had the A's not been in as well.

I am pretty sure Mallala would know who is in and who isn't for two wells and vice versa - it's a small 'area'. :)
