We must differ in how we clasify gun players- and I am happy to give credit where I think it is due- Now Paul Magarey, that guy is a gun. He is a ball winner, runs hard and kicks goals, one of the top five players in the comp IMO, carves us up pretty much every time we play Blackwood. If I were S Sutherland, would be asking Tim Martin to drive over to Magarey's house right now, go inside and sit next to him on his couch and don't leave his side until 5.00pm Saturday.

stapleton is hard as nails, but i think your joshin yaself taking him ahead of cobb, cobb beats stapleton on a break!!! its no real contest between them, but thats only my opinion, i also rate mcCormick ahead of magarey, i wud tag him before magarey, and i would tag hollands before magarey

blackwood have a number a great mid fielders. troy edwards is another. hes a link man for them. magarey is a gun agreed. super player. if he and martin go head to head it will b quite a battle.

I think the Under 17's will be a great game. Would be amazing to see Birdwood win a flag but i really cant see that happening. Between Roberts's ruck work and around the ground second efforts and Tripodi's freakish skills and ability to read the play i think Hahndorf may just have it in the bag. Hahndorf by 4 goals
As for the A grade im expecting fireworks. After paying close attention i think Uraidla may have Blackwood's measure. As everyone keeps saying, stop Gigney and Roche and win the game. Im not sure if it's that simple as blackwood seem to deliver the ball to these guys perfectly time and time again. The Demons need to shut down T. Edwards and Simon 'Kenny' McCormick in the middle to stop this repetitive action. Padroth's strength in the ruck has also played a major part in the woods success but with his fast depleting legs, short fuse and ambition to kick screw punts into the middle of nowhere i don't think he will trouble the cabbage cutters. If Gigney gets a knock early he will devote most of his attention to the umps and lose his head but Roche will not be so easy. Uri's need a good plan to STOP ROCHE, he will kick goals from anywhere in the 50 arch at a seconds notice. Simon Ebert will play the same roll as Roger James did last week, get 40 touches and win the medal with Paul Richards, Matt Vidic, Tim Martin and Wade McLean playing major support roles. Best of luck to all involved in the match but Uraidla by 7 goals

Just heard on ABC 891 that they'll be broadcasting the Uris v Blackwood GF live on the radio - good promotion for the HFL.

Last week they did the RFL Loxton v Waikerie GF and it was a good fun call.

Being in the middle east, the working week ends on a Thursday. Therefore I wanted to wish all teams the best of luck on the weekend.
Should be a real good game with Blackwwod against uri's. Being as though i havent been in town all year, I am going by what is said on here. but it appears as though, the game will not be won by either teams gun players.

both Uris and Blackwood have guns all over the field. But if we realistically look at it, it will be the bottom 5 or so players on either side that will make the difference.

The guns will obviously have an impact, and who ever can play better on the day will no doubt win this game.

I think Uri's will get up by 2 goals. It will be a very close match, but the cutters will just pull through.

They may be b*stards on the field, but I know the majority of the players and have to say they are all a great bunch of blokes and good luck to them if they win it.

Will be looking forward to the result.

As an ex Eastern Ranges player, I suppose I should be going for Uri but geez its hard!

I reckon youd be hard pressed to find any sign of us in the new club (Apart from Andy Wilton!)

Not sure if this is old news but Hahndorf will be looking for a new coach next year.

I heard a little whisper at the beginning of the year that a certain Hahndorf player was being groomed to take over as coach next year. :-k

One of the ones I did hear was that a former multiple premiership winning coach with another Central club who has been doing other things for a few years now was trying to be wooed by the Barkeroos.

A great win by the lads... outplayed the Maggies all day,
Tommy Matters, Rocko, Nibbles, and Jock Cameron were great all day, and of course Snowy carved it up through the middle!

BTW did i hear on 891 that it takes Owen 30-35 hours a week to produce the final siren!!!!!!!!!
my aunty could do a better job with a solid afternoon!!
