Its funny how all the players were in favour of Williams as coach including Shaun Burgoyne during Williams new contract talks, what a joke!
Some things players just have to say to keep the peace.

Yeah things seem a bit interesting there at the moment to say the least. Clearly Williams is the problem.

The success Port had from 01-04 made many people from within the club desirable targets for other organisations as they had been involved in asuccesful environment. For a period of time we were able to hold onto these people but as money became tighter these people chose to move on and good luck to them. There is no doubt many of the backroom people have moved purely for financial reasons.

Knowing my team we would probably trade out some young guns for Shaun Burgoyne.

Why should he? For example if the reason was that he just simply hated most of his team mates (and i'm not suggesting it is the reason just an example) who would it benefit if he came out and said that?

Tell me, is Shaun now going to be ostracised by Port in the same manner as Nick Stevens was?

Shouldn't be any surprise to see their top-line player depart, why would he stay in a mickey mouse ran club? He deserves better, and good on him for attempting to further his career.

Rubbish. Richardson stuck it out at Richmond for his whole career, Harvey hung on at the Saints for a period of no hope, Fevola never left Carlton while things were tough....

Further hi$ career? At 27/28 with a bung knee mate it isn't about his career. It's about coin.

No respect should ever be shown to people who, when the going gets tough, get going.

Oh come on, Booney! Cry me a river! The sooner everyone realizes there's no such thing as club loyalty anymore, the better off everyone will be. The players have to look out for number 1, they only have a limited time in the game and need to make the most of it while they can. Why should a player show any loyalty to a club, when no matter who they are, they're only one major injury or poor season from being shown the door?

So if its about coin then it must be that Port dont want to offer what other clubs are offering? However Port have said they havent even been able to put a contract in front of him? :? You sure its $$$ Boon?

Heard today from someone fairly close to the club, that Port aren't as upset as many would think, because they have doubts about whether SB has much footy left in him such is the extent of his injury ... It's all been kept fairly quiet though because naturally both SB and Port want as much as they can get.

Whether there's any truth to it, I wouldn't know.
