I reckon there's only a few variables that could lead to a Mannum premiership:

1) Clive has an on day and kicks 10
2) Imps suffer some injuries to key players during training this week
3) It pours with rain all day, but from a weather report i saw a day or 2 ago its likely to be fine.

Imps to win 41-50.

From what I was told the umpires had nothing to do with Mannum losing to Imps a fortnight ago Freodocker. Instead of everyone from mannum blaming the umpires why don't they come to terms that maybe they were beating by a better team. The question I put to everyone blaming the umpires is why don't they start supply some umpires to the RMFL.

Umps will having nothing to do with who wins this week. On paper Imps should win, no question. However there is one player that will give Mannum a big chance, Wakefield. If he dominates the taps at the stoppages they're in for a real shot.

Take it easy Happy,
"Everyone at Mannum blaming the umpires" Fair chance that's not the case and the number of umpires supplied by each club is not the same issue as having non affiliated umpires for finals. Do not equate what is written here as to what is happening at Mannum or elsewhere. (It's only a small audience here believe it or not)

Imperial supporters on this forum not above blaming I.K. for our great start 2 weeks ago, which is equal crap with our poor finish being blamed on Farnham.

I assume with all the patting of your own backs of how many umpires you have supplied that you guys are dead sure there is no reason why it is easier for M/B based teams to supply umps ie. training regularly held at other towns not just a token training per season, tribunal held somewhere other than Adelaide Road, Murray Bridge and other things which might impact on a busy persons life.

Anyone who thinks that umpiring will make a difference with the result is getting carried away and I am sure Mr. Nottle will pick his team on their best form.

GO YOU ROOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rough i can only go on what I read on this forum & get told. I apologize if the info is not correct but i am very confident its all 100% accurate. Considering i have no affilation with any club I could not care who wins on Sat as long as its a good game. All I said is I would'nt think the umpires have any bearing on the result of the game. Unfortunately the umpires umpiring in all leagues are the best they have & if certain people keep critising the umpires the way they do we may not have any umpires at all. If this happens we won't have any footy at all.

You're dead right in that regard Happy.

Ump numbers are not exactly over flowing but all going well we will not notice them at all this weekend which means they have done a decent job.

All going well this forum will be filled with praise for the mighty Roos getting up against Imps and no one will feel the need to bag them, Time will tell. (Just quietly, I am not at all confident that there will not be at least some bagging regardless of who wins)

GO Mannum!!! Hopefully a few of the guys will be better for the run over the last couple of weeks as there were a few players with long term injuries coming back into the team.

I reckon all non Imps people will be hoping Mannum win on Saturday. Hopefully there's a big crowd that gets the Roos over the line. Imps will be strong favourites though.

Noticed the Standard preview on line:

A massive Congratulations should go to Imperials for getting all 4 grades into the Grand Final on Saturday.

A huge effort considering this is the second time in very recent history that this has happened, and we all know what happened last time, but lets not forget that last time only one of the 4 sides were favourites on the day.

This Saturday should be very different. Under 15's should win comfortably but I expect all other 3 games to be very close. What an amazing achievement it would be to have 4 premierships at the one club.

GO YOU BLUES!!!!

Dalwood really has it in for Justin Hentschke for some reason. Any history between those two?

Sorry to get off the topic of the Grand Final (go the Roos by the way, tipping them by 10 points) but I been hearing left right and centre that Karoonda have signed Muffy Kartinyeri and Dylan Hogarth? Anyone know whether there is any truth in that? Early, I know and I don't wanna get caught up in all the spin that goes around in the off season, but is there any truth to this? Would be a huge blow to Tailem Bend.

Dalwood wrote in a preview about a month ago that Muffy is likely to go to Karoonda next year. The bit about Hogarth is interesting though.

Muffy is going, & Dillon has been talked to, but is IMO very unlikely to leave, although was apparently @ the Mallee GF with Sumner.
