Mate, the SANFL hasn't cared about the footy public for years. Apart from being "an official meeting of the SANFL", it's nothing more than a "drinky-do" so the boys can get together for an evening of self-indulgence. The needs of the football public would never have entered their feeble little minds. Magarey Medal is dead so far as I'm concerned, and unless they start adopting a more professional attitude, the SANFL will be as well.

Good news is we now have a figure to work with knowing exactly what our server can handle. When the site started to slow down I was madly scrolling around our Admin panel to find the button that shuts off viewing by guests as they were making half of the load on the server but didn't find it in time.
It wont happen again as I'll find this button and turn it off well before an event like that happens again (or get a bigger server).

I don't think anyone on here could/would be upset by your, and everyone else's, efforts in providing the most comprehensive coverage of the count.

Reality is, if it wasn't for you, Wedgie, Dissident, the Phils, and so on, then we would have probably been forced to wait until this morning to find out who actually won.

As great as it is for this site to have provided the best coverage, it is also a blight on the SANFL administration that a fan forum could provide superior coverage of the count then the league itself.

Many thanks for everyone last night who worked so hard to put the coverage out there. Watching from home on the 'net, I really felt for all of you who were working under very trying circumstances on a range of levels, to ensure that the fans were kept in the loop as to what was happening on one of the premier nights of SANFL. To keep getting things through under a range of obstacles is a credit to all involved.

Congratulations to both James Ezard and Rhys Archard. Great examples of two blokes putting their head down after the disappointment of being delisted and concentrating on playing great football, and giving all they have for the SANFL.
