not a bad bloke yourself Voice :D

I think (i don't know as fact) Hayes did the injury during the week (wednesday ?) and the Dogs were always going to play Westoff, but kept it extremley quite by not naming him in any side as if Sturt new Hayes was out, they may have changed their forward structure to suit.

Hazydog wrote:Can anyone " in the know" confirm that Hayesey copped his injury at training on Saturday afternoon? Given that L Westhoff wasn't named in either side, and the reserves had already played earlier, this may mean that Leigh came into the side at the last minute and played with some sort of injury that originally would have kept him out of both games.

From what I heard, Hayes didn't do the hammy at training saturday, it was already done earlier in the week. I am hearing conflicting reports that he has a hamstring strain but the paper said adductor. As for Leigh Westhoff not being named in either league or reserves side, the final 21 does not need to be named until 30 minutes before the first bounce, so I would suggest whilst that decision had already been made from Central's perspective, they weren't going to release it to the media from a tactical point of view.

I am only going by what Roy Laird himself said, but he mentioned on AA last night that Haysey should be right to play ? Time will tell...

You did some fair damage to that red and white monstrosity you were pictured in earlier this year. :-\

I can beat that... I was born in Salisbury East and I barracked for Centrals when I was young... then my Mum convinced me as a kiddie to change to a successful team like Sturt, which she barracked for... THANKS MUM... 8 wooden spoons and 1 premiership!

There's a life long decision I can be proud of... sheesh!

End of day mate Sturt didn't have the balls to hold on to the win and choked big time.

Enjoy the Eagles and cut throat final next week, hopefully you find the umpiring more to your liking.

Actually, that was one of fourty four decisons that were made for the day (27-17 in favour of the Dogs) and one of nine decisions made in the last quarter (8-1 Dogs).....

As I have reiterated, I DO NOT blame the umpiring for the outcome. Go back and read my post 'mate'.

I await someone's explanation for Umpire Dey's choice to throw, rather than bounce, the ball at a stoppage for the first time in the match.

AFL listed umpires and umpires aspiring for AFL level are required to bounce.

As Tony Dey is neither, he can do as he chooses. Same reason why Williams, Pfieffer and co. throw it up.

UUUUU DOOOGSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geez... like I need any more proof you're a total ****.

Isn't nice that instead of concentrating on their club they're thinking of you?

Its good to see I've had a lot more impact on him than he'll ever have on me... as you know Barto, we come across these sad cases from time to time, its a tough job to look past them and not label all Centrals fans the same as this tosser. Fortunately there are a number of good Doggies posters on here who give intelligent comment and amusing banter.

Yep I only got two bites this time. I think I got 5 last time.

Must agree with you very little difference between the sides. Well apart from doggies not choking on leads in the last quarter which Sturt has made into fine art that is.

Anybody else not surprised by this. They say idiocy is heriditary. Oh Sturt fans its like shelling peas sometimes. YOu better be careful with the choking CS. ;)
