Wellllllllll.....

Looks like Barmera-Monash's reserves are going to make me eat my words. Well done Roos. Nothing wrong with eating humble pie.

Well done to Rambo on his side winning the thirds premiership. Good stuff mate.

And....anyone noticed how windy it is today? Takes my mind back to the last grand final at the Lakeside. Loxton's coach instructed his captain to kick against the wind in the first term, rather than with it. Hoping to get the breeze in the last. A fateful decision. Hopefully Goof doesn't instruct the captain to do that today.

Good luck to both sides.

My take, thought Kirk, Kurtzer, Mann, Portolesi and Montgomery were gallant for Loxton.

Renmark, well, where do you start? Bryant, Stelzers, O'Dea and Wagnitz set it all up with Camplin dominating up forward.

Farr forced to sit it out with the camera for the day.

Smith started up forward and really struggled to move freely.

Adam Dunhill was pretty emotional after the final siren having missed out.

Congratulations on Matty Martinson retiring on a high.

With that in mind, it will be interesting to see how many of the current Rovers stay on to defend their crown next season.

Was pretty disappointed to see the way some of the Renmark fans were acting behind the goals to some of the Loxton defenders.

Not sure if there is a bit of history there, just thought it was a bit rough, knowing they can't retaliate, to run up and get in their face when getting the ball from behind the goals.

No biggy though.

thought the umpires did a good job in keeping the game running when tempers flared.

I still have a full carton of superdry on ice in my car Ron B, where the hell were you?

No it's not fair enough. It wasn't the players giving it, it was the spectators. Two very different things.

I was behind the goals, but didnt see this happening. The bloke that does the kick outs for loxton is tits, who teaches at Renmark, so they could know the bloke and be mucking around, but like i said i didnt see it.

SS, thanks for bringing the beers, but forgot all about it. I did see you though, getting in the road of Farry's photos! ;)

Fantastic GF performance from the Rovers - big congratulations to the player group - they took a strangle hold in the 1st quarter and never let go the rest of the day. Shame I had to go back to Adelaide would of loved to party on the rest of the night with the Renamrkians. Thoughts out to Farry but unfortunately there is always a bad luck story. Fantastic to see and Congratulations to "Brutus" thats the way you want to finish, with a GF. Well done again and a good standard considering the darn whether. AND by the way I was too pissed and lost my mobile phone at the bloody oval so if anyone found a nokia - private message me because it's mine. DAM

Well done to Renmark on a great win.
Took control from the start and the Tiges never had a sniff.
Congrats to Ex and especially to Matt Martinson - have always had plenty of respect for him.
Bad luck to Loxton. A great season. Just couldn't cap it off.

Interesting Wagnitz won the best on ground medal but wasn't in his club's top players.
Good depth of performance I guess you'd say.

So....from those two teams, who won't be there next year?
How will the Tigers youngsters respond to a loss like that in the biggest game of the year?
Goof has the respect of the players and club, I'm sure he'll be doing everything he can to get the confidence back up. Mourn it now but don't carry it for the next year -- look what happened to Port in AFL...

Another big question for next year....can Berri complete the trifecta of clubs winning in their centenary year?

Good coverage by the ABC of the Grand Final from Barmera on Saturday.
Only criticism was they kept referring to Barmera as "the Dust Bowl".
Obviously it was windy and there was plenty of dust around but it would not have been the only place in SA like that on Saturday.
They also kept praising the ovals surface - which was good to hear.
Unfortunately this doesn't do the Riverland area any good being portrayed like that across SA.
Great initiative to broadcast Country Grand Finals when possible.

Totally agree Stun. It was a good coverage.
Interesting to note the criticism of scoreboard attendants too...
Walshy gets a bit upset when things are a little out of the ordinary.

Actually listened to the coverage on both the ABC and Life FM, swapping between the two, and both did a great job.
