2nd Semi Final Glenelg v Centrals

Postby am Bays » Sun Sep 13, 2009 8:22 pm

OK, Bring it on, if we want to be the best we have to beat the best.

What has happened before this year counts for zilch, new season, new ball game in finals.

Sorry Mods I know it is less than 2 hours since the end of the QF, but we bays fans have been waiting all week for this and can't wait until next Sunday.

Feel sorry for the unlucky Bays players who could make way for Sellar, Douglas and Meyer next Sunday (assuming the Crows release them but I know both Dougie and Sellsy want to play)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

well it should be a ripper the old dog with the know how (as we saw today) versus a more (than last year) experienced tiger, i'm confident of a tiger victory & obviously the make up of both teams could be crucial & whichever team wins this will be the hungriest & most desprate team & this will start in the centre
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Would expect the bays to go all the way this year, including giving Central their first minor final loss this decade next weekend. But, it is Central. How do they keep doing it?

C'mon the Bays!!
Heard Josh Carr is trying to get up for some finals action.
Would love to see him tag one of the Gowans and watch them go at it all day

Yeah this should be a great game. Glenelg are the well deserved minor premiers and now Centrals the well deserved challengers. Thankfully no work or kids for me so I'll be there cheering the dogs on.

Apparently we are at home on the toilet shitting ourselves already

If you want to be the best you got to beat the best - can Centrals do it?

Wasnt a high standard game today, pretty confident the Bays are 20% better this year and ready for the contest....cant wait

The difference between last years quote and this years (both great to add interest to the game) is one is correct :D

All right, seven days out, I'm prepared to make a prediction on next weeks 2nd Semi. I'm going to put my self out there, make the big call and predict with absolute certainty that:

Warren Partland will tip us to beat the Dogs.....

What about the injury front for the Dogs.

Will Slade play next week?

And I noticed that Havelberg was having plenty of treatment on the hammy in the last quarter.

The Bays luckily are injury free (apart from Hinge) and have some potential selection headaches with Douglas, Sellar and Meyer available for selection.

I think selection for Bays will be interesting with all 3 squads pushing to be selected and a few trying to break into a squad.

Ask the Eagles how successful thay have been bringing in AFL players for the finals once their AFL committments have finished. Part of the Dog's recipe for success has been a settled side, although injury has disrupted that to an extent this year.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.
