went and watched the game today, do remember someone stating that BL would beat some A1 reserve sides. from what i saw today they wouldnt beat a div 3 resies side. got to admit was very disappointed with the standard today, I know GF's can be a dour struggle but the skill level seemed to be way off. the disposal and decision making was average to say the least. got to say though BL looked very timid and Heccies seemed to want it more. BOG the bloke that stood Payney (no. 9 i think) gave him a bath, and the other players seemed to feed of of him.great crowd there today all be it very subdued.

Today has shown that Brahma Lodge would go nowhere near a Div 1R side. For what it's worth, commiserations to TOS, because you certainly seemed to have the momentum to take it up to Div 5. And well done to Hectorville. If you look back over the posts from the start of the season their were a fair few writing you off. Personally I always rated you, never enough to win the flag, but I thought you would be in amongst it. I've never had an easy game against you and I've always enjoyed every win against you boys. Well done.

i called it a month ago that lodge would go down in the GF.... seriously bad luck and we'll see you next year and hopefully we dont' play like tards when we come to your ground, like we always do... goodwork turning the club around. you will be very competitive in div 5... well done to Heccies, upset of the year....

Who did you stand today? The 2 guys who were on Walts and Payney were by far the better players for the day for heccies. Payney was well held and walts only managed 2???. Your midfield work to get back was great all day which led to easy rebound out of the 50. Was a very tight contested game all day, I thought the same as you in the 3rd when the Lodge were on a roll but 2 late goals swung it back. Congratulations to Heccies. ge were off their game all day but I thought that was down to some good pressure by the hounds. Thats 3 close games this year, more to follow next year. Great crowd out there today as well. Made for a good atmosphere.

Bad luck to the Lodge lads, a great season which unfortunately didn't get the icing on the cake, but either way to make the GF and move up div has been a fantastic effort. This will definitely burn the lads all summer, so hopefully most will return next year for some revenge.

yep scottroo was right wen he said i would be on walts. i think he scored one. not a bad goal though. 40m out on the boundary with the breeze blowing across the face of goal. ive really enjoyed the battle with myself n pete v walts n payney the past two times we have played. the past 3 wks have def tested the nerves. looking fwd to having a relaxing saturday this wk.
i would have pete as BOG. kept payney goaless and got a lot off the ball. him n his bro took about 100 bounces yesterday. and for once he didnt cramp up to badly. he also got cleaned up in the first quarter

Congrats to CLG magoos, definately the better team yesterday. We needed it to rain. Your big guys, especially number 4 at CHF, dominated along with number 28 and 8.

Congrats to Heccies also.
