Bye Bye Burton

Postby Dutchy » Sat Sep 12, 2009 11:01 pm

Take the Bird out of the oven cause he is done....

Been a good player but his time has come, sure he can still take a good mark but just doesnt get enough ball these days, even when the Crows were flying tonight he fumbled and was rarely seen. Did you see him blowing up in the last quarter when fitness was critical?

Id keep the other over 30's for another year but room has to be made for the future

My opinion of course but a hard call needs to be made

She's not the only one. I'm no fan of Burton at all.
Admire his jumping. But no fan...too inconsistent.
If...if the Crows dumped him, would he be an asset for another club?

Mal, ANOTHER pre-season won't remove his inconsistency. That's what I dislike most about him.

The bird man should go.

An incident into the final term loose ball at half forward, two crows leading, two magpies in hot pursuit, Adelaide players get to the ball first, birdman has the best position, pulls out, not prepared to get the hard ball, Collingwood mop up, p poor effort,

Still that was not the only mistake in the night, but the most crucial when the game is in the balance

you blokes & mrs wedgie who are critical of burton miss one thing...in that competition you don't need footballers you need athletes & that is why he plays.....as for the comment regarding craig v malthouse that is spot on locky...was no good at norwood & has improved since but tactically not up to it

the comment on neil craig is an overall view of what i've seen & not on tonights game as i only saw bits & pieces of it
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Malthouse has coached for 25 consectutive years for two flags. Hardly a brilliant return.
