I could see reason to chase Seaby ( Ruck ) and Hansen ( Key Forward ) to Port Adelaide but I would be loathe to do such a deal if it involved losing one of the few Port players to have put in 100% week in and week out in 09.

Surjan, IMO, is very much like Michael Wilson. You earn every kick you get on him and you dont want to get in his way when he is after the Sherrin. I would not like to lose Surj.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Surjan has been excellent for you guys this year, but IMHO for one reason alone, his honesty in effort ... I don't actually think he's anything special as a footballer, and despite some similarities, I wouldnt mention him in the same breath.

His attitude certainly makes him a handy player, but I don't think he's much more than that (no disrespect intended)

I was a fan, a huge fan, but these days he's too slow and isn't damaging enough. Sad what injuries can do because he's still relatively young.

Andrew Lovett has asked to be traded by Essendon, possibly to West Coast, Sydney, Hawthorn or Fremantle,

Brisbane and Richmond have already Agreed to do a deal, and the first trade will be Andrew Raines to Brisbane for their third round Draft Selection.

West Coast are going to lose Mark Seaby to Sydney, and Brent Staker, Mark Nicoski and Matt Spangher are all going to look for more Oppurtunities elsewhere, St Kilda have already spoken to Spanghers managment group

Gee all the Eagles players want out. What is going on there? Is it a case of abandon the sinking ship?

All 4 are fringe players and will not play a big part in the next tilt at a flag and want more oppurtunities and that is why they have been asked to be traded.

just saw on the afl website that Shaun Burgoyne has gone and "taken" some time out to think about his career. my thoughts are - 1. if he was to leave what club would look at him? and 2. port would be asking whoever takes him to bail them out the money they are in debt!!
THOUGHTS?

Every club in the league would look at him for the right price but no doubt he would come at significant cost for other clubs.

If that is the case they would probably be better off elsewhere next year to reignite their careers. Can't really see WCE featuring deep in the finals for a few years, although they did finish 2009 with more promise
