my understanding is that he was told that all coaching positions would be advertised & that he would have to re-apply. can't confirm whether he put in an application but doesn't matter either way because Lynch is the new coach.

Uraidla up against Hahndorf at 3 qtr time 14.8 to 6.6.

A few blues with Dennis Raymond getting red-carded for head-butting I believe

If Mick Taylor thinks the 3 umpires out there today are they best we've got.... We got issues.
Tambeau Vireux is a bloody idiot, Dennis takes a mark and gets knocked through the middle of next week and he gets red carded , where is the scents there... From all reports Tambeau has a phobia of facing the tribunal and will more then likely with-draw his red card for the third time this year. So hopefully Dennis will still play next week.

So is it the umpires and not injuries that excuse Hahndorf's loss this week is it?

Yeah top call DM they probably did have 9 out same as every other week, haha. Tanka cant say Hahndorf have ever played as a team this year so they need to work around that little issue

well dangermouse, whats loftys excuse??? umpires were not to bad... weather was fine... didnt have anyone out... hmmm... lofty finish 4th...

question 1: why wasnt fleety in the A's??? surely hes good enough
question 2: why didnt lofty throw the match ups around, it was clear 11 couldnt go with gigney, i personally would have tried neilsen on him...
question 3: why isnt bawden at a SANFL club?
question 4: how many did gigney end up kicking?
question 5: how many goals combined have roche and gigney kicked this year?

what a day though, the saints get up and lofty go down!!! 8)

You cant be serious? Raymond got hit in the mouth when J.Brown was trying to punch the ball and thought it was justified to head-but him. Obviously was only a small touch but u cant head-but someone, has to get a week!
Do agree that chances are it wont even get to the tribunal, heard that rumour bout Tambeau a few times.

Blackwood were too good, there was a swing of momentum in the 2nd with some terrible umpiring decisions which did turn the game a bit but lofty never really faught back,

some good points silky fleet should of played A's as seeing both temme's were out and lofty hardly took a forward 50m mark all day. and yes someone should of been put on gigney neilson a good suggestion as he didnt do much yesterday. and how good is bawden apparently doesn't even like playing footy just plays for the boys. and I rekon roche was the key yesterday was real good and sidebottom.

I haven't heard DM make an excuse nor any other Lofty supporter/player for that matter? Blackwood played better on the day it's as simple as that.

agree silky, fleet not in the a grade was a huge mistake. they were too small at both ends of the ground. Fleet could have gone back or forward either he or gordon who had no impact on the game should have played on gigney. i guess now fleet can have a big impact on mt lofty's b grade finals assult. roach was awesome all day davis was well beaten but was playing above his weight and height and needed some help from his mid fielders to put pressure on blackwood delivery. having said that blackwood were really clean after quater time and deserved the win. will b a great game this week between them and handorf too hard to pick a winner.

I personally didn't even notice the umpires on Sunday, which typically means they did a good job. No excuses for Lofty losing, beaten by a better side not just on the day but a side that has been better than us all year. Finishing fourth, whilst hugely disappointing is probably where we deserved to finish as we have been slightly behind the top three when they are at or close to full strength all year. Whenever you lose a final you will look for reasons why, I don't believe that selections got it wrong as on paper the side looked well balanced. Fleety may have given us something up forward but then again he hadn't been consistently doing so before his injury anyway. What lost is for us were a couple of things-Blackwood delivered the ball to their forwards much better than we did. Flash and Pistols got terrible service all day IMO. I don't think the second quarter cost us, the wind played a huge role in the first half and to go into half time almost level was about right. What killed us was the first 10 minutes of the third quarter. Blackwood smashed us in the centre and got plenty of ball down to Gigney and Roche, and those three or so unanswered goals into the wind were worth more like 6 or 7. Perhaps Nielson could've moved onto Gigney, but that would've left Billy in the ruck all day and we needed him up forward to try and take some grabs. With all that said and done, we would have to be the youngest team in the top four and have the lowest number of points, so the future is looking pretty bright a subway stadium. Hopefully over the summer we can add a bit more goal scoring power and a key defender, plus coupled with the continued improvement of the young blokes that you would expect and we should be right in the hunt again. As for this year, I am bitter and angry and couldn't care who wins the flag!! ;)
