Congrats must go to Baker, not too many blokes can say they a dual Mail medalist...

An interesting trend though over the last few years in the BLG... Only one winner in the last 4 years (as far as my old memory can remember) has come from a finals side...

M Greenwood - Tanunda missed the finals
S Baker - Willaston Missed
B Taylor - Centrals Third
S Baker - Willaston Missed

It is certainly a great acheivement and who knows how many he could have in the trophy cabinet by the end of his career.

Surely a league club must go back in for him. Clubs like South and West give league games to anyone and everyone, diluting the honour and achievement that it is to say you have played league footy. Well theres a talent at willaston that could justify 100+ league games, just show some patience and find out how to best manage him and you have your club a GENUINE league talent.

Can't see Bake's travelling to Noarlunga just so he can say he's played league footy, he knows he's good enough but the system down there isn't for him. Alot of those clubs are full of tools who dedicate their life for the ability to tell people that they have played league footy and would give a left knacker to have half the talent bakes has.

Hamley???How will he juggle that with his assistant coaching role at Sturt???????
I heard he is also going to be joining Cirque de soleil, and has thrown his hat into
the ring to be the next President of Venezuela.
Have also heard he may be hosting the next revamped version of Australia's funniest home videos....
Congratulations to Craig 'Quentin' Harvey last night, to lose by 3 votes when he missed 5 games is a great effort,
If he didn't have a glass jaw we may have been toasting him this morning.....

Angaston Fan Club

Postby snoozer » Tue Sep 08, 2009 5:38 pm

What day this week will the Angaston Fan Club really start ramping things up on this site?
Thought there would have been more love for Harvey's votes last night? I am a little disappointed !!! :(
Maybe i'll get my fix tomorrow in everybody's favourite sporting column "GT Sports", otherwise known as the Angaston Football Club times...
Or are they getting concerned about a 20 plus degree day??? ;)

Yes snoozer it was a wonderful effort by Harv's to poll so well last night, he has had a fantastic year and am sure would of racked up more votes in those games he missed, but it wasn't to be. Every year theres a hard luck story bout someone. Last year it was newb's who fell one vote short having missed 2 games thru rep footy. It's a hard gig to bag a mail medal and Bake's must be congratulated on his second, Well Done Shaun! Am sure the sound words of simon koch thru out the year has only made him a better footballer and bloke!

As for the weather this weekend, do know the ango boys are keen for some bright sunshine to display there pristine skills on a hard deck at kapunda. Should make for some entertaining viewing!!

As requested, the "B-TRAIN" train is now selling tickets on route for Kapunda.
As requested, more to come.
A common theme come out of last nights count was that both Baker and Harvey are products of the ‘Koch Academy of Football’.
Congratulations to Baker on his second medal, no doubt he wouldn't have done so without the able assistance and mentoring of Koch.
Unfortunately, the great Panther barometer was the bridesmaid for the 3rd time in a medal count.
Diddles is one of the finest and most courageous talents to don a Panther guernsey.
Bunged Shoulder.... Dawes has fitted in like a glove and has been solid without being brilliant this year.
Dawes will dominate against the Cubs this week, giving the likes of Salter, Gerhardy and Co a good old fashioned bath.

Why dont you Angaston guys have your own thread
Sickening the way you talk about Bascombe..................why applaud an out and out SNIPER unless of course it is bascombe himself writing all this garbage
Koch...............a Assistant Coach..........THATS ALL.......Seelanders ride to and home from the footy...............One would think he is some sort of messiah instead of what he really is
.
Get off your high horses you blokes........i know its all a joke to you writers but let me tell you its an absolute bore.................I hate nuri but i really hope they knock you off your perches

As opposed to your insightful posts forward!!
if u knew anything at all seelander is koch's designated driver!!
basco to kick 6 in the sunny conditions and harvey to have his usual 40 touches with "the body" to repel many nuri attacks, ango will be 2 strong and physical for the young cubs.

Snoozer..... The warmer weather will see Stafford and Coach Hadden execute there own game plans.
There will be many advantages for the panthers in the warm weather, if not advantageous.
The sun will keep Brandon 'The Body' Kurtz out of the solarium and soak up the natural Ultra Violet Rays.
The folically challenged solar panels of Clarke, Harvey and Rathjen will be aided by the sun.
Also less coal should be required to fill the hotbox of the "B-TRAIN".
Forward, your post was very hard to read. It made you look illiterate, you are a knob.

Havent the wheels fallen off at Willaston .... this once feared and respected club has resorted to a former Angaston coach and his off sider to take the club forward. What has happened to all the great players that were once involved in the club ? or wouldnt a quality player / coach be a better option

I only wish they employeed these two Angaston rejects 15 years ago when i was running around.

Brandon Nottle might be an option Plugger he's still around the place?

No doubt he would of been running around in the middle and stiching up your supply back in the 90's when one pointed forward set ups of the likes of deptula and trimboli produced 100 goal seasons, but counted for zero come finals.
