On what I have seen, the eagles should win by 5-6 goals. North seem to be copping a few injuries at the wrong time of the year while the eagles are getting theres back at the right time.

The SANFL are relieved GL didnt finish 4th or 5th

Completely agreed with bayman. I just love that it's finals time (even though my team isn't there).

SANFL can't please everyone. I'm glad they're on sunday because it means I can go to them. :D

i know for a fact (unless injured) broadbent stewart and salter are all playing for the eagles this week. Massive in's that IMO could help send either Sturt or centrals out in straight sets

Yes mate, because having those particular AFL listed players certainly helped the Eagles in the two minor round encounters against Sturt this season

Assuming you win of course? You have hardly been impressive the 2 times you beat us - both of which we could have won!

Let's hope the Eagles players have the same "we have won it already" arrogant mindset as some of the supporters!

But what if the North fans have their usual "we have no chance" attitude? Could be a draw!

Not in a final (bar the Granny). It would go to extra time.

I reckon Rob Shirley will play for the Eagles, talking to Ron Fuller and Shane Reardon who were interested observers at Prospect on Saturday, we were discussing that there probably isn't a spot in the Adelaide side for Shirls and he has been out fo the side for 3 weeks now.

Bonus for the Eagles and I think regardless of whether he plays or not, they'll get up in a close one, but high scoring affair.

Don't think Cover King is an Eagles supporter though Drebin.

If the Eagles lose this final, I would class our season as a failure, to win and then get knocked out the next week would be disappointing but there would still be some positives given the number of players we have played (45+?) and the young players we have blooded. While this might seem being satisfied without a flag, objectively we are a way off the top three this year.

I reckon this game will be as close and intense as last year's Nwd/Port Elimination final, but maybe not as high-scoring or entertaining due to tactics, teams skill levels etc. Eagles to win about 11-12 goals to 9.

We have a chance, don't get me wrong, with our injuries the Eagles will start favs and I think they will probably but North definately do have a chance.
We only say we don't have a chance when some clowns come on here telling us we're a chance like in the last 6 weeks against Glenelg, Central and Sturt when we clearly know they're wrong and the resultant scores prove we were correct.
You can have a go at us for being drunks but don't have a go at us for being smarter and more honest than others.
I don't care if its North v Glenelg or South v Central, I'll be honest and say if a team has a chance or not.

I think a big factor this week will be the size of the oval, North's zone/defensive style has proved a lot more successful on smaller ovals than larger ovals, you only have to look at our win at Unley, 2 wins at Norwood and 2 second loss to Glenelg to see that, on the larger grounds we've struggled (except for Noarlunga Downs but Hackham could beat South this year)

Broadbent, Salter and Stewart will be good ins for the Eagles as they have played a majority of the year with them anyway. With North injuries, unless they play of course, i will be tipping the eagles by 5 goals. Too many key players missing for North to cover i feel.

Eagles won't beat Sturt if they lose to Centrals this week but i think the Eagles can beat the Dogs if they were to lose to Sturt and the Eagles get over the Roosters.

It could happen that one of them go out in straight sets but i doubt it will be the case.

IF (it's never when, and never think like that) we progress from this week, I'd give ourselves more of a chance to beat Central than Sturt. But the gap between 3rd and 4th is quite large, however.

But again, there is a simple fact there is a game to be played this week. It seems as if we will get Broadbent, Salter, Stewart and Shirley in, but it's not as if they will automatically be the difference either. There is not much difference between the two sides, so it's not going to be a large margin I would expect.
