From all reports Sponge Nelson was seen at the game last weekend. I assume he has put his hand up.
I also heard that the Willaston assistant coach has put his hand up. His name escapes me for the moment

lol. His name would be Simon Koch i think.

I think thats what his name is. I would need to confirm that.
Francis Gilbert Hamley and BenC are closer to the scene. Maybe they can confirm?

Thats interesting if he has . Could be down to them two

I only know cos I was at the Hamley Hotel last night having a few schnabel’s and they said they had an interview with the Willaston assistant. Interview lasted about an hour and half. From all reports the committee were impressed.

Yeah Simon Koch is really going places. I was extremely impressed with his presentation, we will be throwing everything we have at this guy. Might even see if he is interested in coaching the cricket team also!

Where has he been hiding all these years? Surprised he has not had a top job already!!

Seems to be really big on shutting sides down. Very much from the Paul Roos school of coaching.

I actually heard Kochy was a similar type of player to Roosy. Is this true?

Heard a rumour old mate 2good4u got stuck at the gate yesterday with a boot full of grog and wasn't happy about not being able to bring it in. Fair suck of the sav, just buy your piss from the bar. It aint that hard to do.

Results as expected yesterday. Just about to head up to Lochiel to watch footy again today. Still think Hummocks will win for mine.

Nice hanger after the 3/4 time siren yesterday Donkey! ;)

Was the large number of security warrented? Was the low numbers of spectators a direct result of the no BYO policy? After reasuring posts about poor umpiring in the local paper from apfl president, We are still seeing woefull umpiring (mallala runner touching the ball! free kick must be awarded. but NO  play on was the call and mallala scored as a result . :?

Swamp Donkey wrote:Whats the plan of attack this Sunday Jumbo, a huge test for the young Roosters. Sam Jericho will make a huge difference to that already potent forward line, with Joe Hunt finding his feet in a big way up forward and Thommo continuring his good form I'm tipping HWE by 11 goals

Saturday's game will also be a beauty, Virginia looking the goods in the past few weeks and Mallala starting to gain some important touch at the right time, promises to be a close one again between these two teams. I'm tipping Mallala by 7 points [-o< [-o< .

Saturday's game was an ugly affair but finals footy all the same. Was a tough game and a super important win for Mallala given their injury concerns of late.
and yesterday......

wow wow and wow I dont think anyone except the 21 players that represented Two Wells, expected such an easy elimination final win yesterday. I'm pretty happy I didnt drive all the way up there to watch it, sounds like it was a right royal belting. Congratulations to the Roosters. I wont be missing this weekend's market-garden-derby, should be a beauty, but I can't see TW getting over Virginia who will be desperate to justify their impressive performances throughout the year. I'm still trying to work out how HWE lost given the talent and experience in that side, but with a record like their's over the last few years it's pretty difficult to be critical. I'd certainly put my hand out for it!

Very disappointing yesterday, but well done to the Roosters, thoroughly deserved winners on the day, and the season if I'm honest. Should be a cracker of a market garden derby this weekend, will be there nice and early to support our junior colts, who were the highlight of an otherwise dismal day for our club. Could be a long day with the medal count afterwards...
