Are you saying that the Advertiser had based it's selection on the presumption of a CD win in the GF![]()

I thought the team was chosen based on the minor round performances and on that basis, surely one of Ron Fuller, Andrew Jarman or Robert Pyman should have been named coach of the year. All improved their clubs position from the previous year and made finals. Fuller and Jarman coached their side to four more wins than Laird did, who coached his side to their worst minor round performance since the 90's.
IF the team was chosen to include finals, then surely they should have waited until after the Grand Final to make the decision.
PS. I called the decision ridiculous before the Grand Final was played.

If you are fishing, nice catch. If not, see below.Adelaide Hawk wrote:I cannot believe this. Laird is "Coach of the Year"? Absolutely ridiculous. He's been blessed with superior squads, which he inherited, and just sits in the box each week watching his team play.
When did they decide not to give it to the Premiership Coach?
