Hmmmm, Paul loves Kersbrook, Brad Pearce is the son of the Kersbrook Football President, Ladey has been touted with every AFL club as a Ruck Coach and one would think Burgoyne would play with relatives.

Tanunda 1.2 9.3 12.6 16.8 (104)
Nuriootpa 2.4 4.6 5.8 7.13 (55)

Managed to catch a glimpse of the game today, with no real surprises.
Nuri got off to a good start, Tanunda eventually ran away and made light work of the young Tigers in the second quarter.
Managed to also have a brief chat with Staff today.
With a relatively inexperienced playing group, his concern was if the young Tigers couldn't get a win today, they would begin to doubt there ability to win finals football.
He mentioned that there last finals win was way back in 2002.
Panthers v Tigers this week.
Interesting to see how the Cubs fair against a seasoned Panther outfit.

Apparently Milligan will be at Kapunda's B&F day. Like to be a fly on the wall for that one. Heard a couple of players sent him text messages which may not have been complimentary after it was announced he went to South, LOL

On the radio, heard that Clint Hill has retired, can anyone confirm

Went to the Bog Hole today, rumour is that Centrals will advertise Dawes job, Note to Jason Smith just stick with Dawes. Get some stability into the club, you should have stck with Brant,

After being sacked as under 15 coach a few years back, recent A grade caretaker coach Phil Twat  has been given the B Grade job at Barossa. Couch coach can you confirm

Note to Nobby, get rid if the bye, give Kapunda to the Clare league. We might have them back in a few years time when they become a club were people want to stay at.

Can confirm the Rian Nelson has been appointed as an Assistant Coach at Sturt for season 2010, Knowing Rian he would be wrapped with this as he is a long time Sturt man. Well done on this Sponger, Great to hear a guy who has worked hard on his coaching getting a jig in the SANFL.

Note to Nobby, get rid of the bye. Give Barossa District to the Hills League, so they can win a game. We might have them back in a few years time when they can be a club people want to stay at: ie
Brad James
Stelzer x 2
Daniel Thomas
Joe Danis
Aaron Spicer
David Kellett
Steve O'Connor
Bill Warner
etc., etc....

OConnor and Hodges were at the game yesterday for the first half, adding fuel to the fire about the Freeling link.

With those two at Freeling and plenty of cash to spend on players the Redlegs could be back playing finals very soon.

Postby drifter » Sun Sep 06, 2009 5:23 pm

heard some posters asking the other day why the BLG staggers their finals individually over 4 weeks which gives the 1st semi winner and advantage over the 2nd semi loser. Apparently, a big reason is that no club wants to host a Father's day final and the Netty girls dont want to play on a Sunday. Still has to be a better way, maybe 1st semi on the same weekend as the 2nd semi. play the prelim on the Saturday the next week, the day before Father's day. Any thoughts ? The only ones happy with the current arrangement would have to be Ango, who I would have to think have become warm favourites, after Nuri got smashed by Tanunda on the Kokoda trail on the weekend.

Tanunda just a class above any other side in the competetion; would have to be wet windy and cold for any side to have a slight chance to knocking tanunda off

Hey Swooper,
Great game yesterday. Who did you think were your better players yesterday. I thought Kaesler was terrific both forward and back, also Craig Underwood was good in patches.

Queen Vic, You are right. Phill Thwat has the job for next year. From what I have heared is he got the job over a 5 year coach of BDFC. Some players not happy about this. Also the person who missed out is thinking about moving on from the club.

Would that be Simon Paige? I thought he would have been the better man for the job
