Must have been an impressive 2nd qtr by the Panthers... Straight kicking too.

Looks like this is the match that will decide the Magarey, if 47 possessions doesn't get you the three votes, 44 or 38 will.

It certainly has decided the Advertiser award.

44 disposals, 10 marks, 4 inside 50s and a goal in your final game -- don't get much better than that.

Postby The Sleeping Giant » Sun Sep 06, 2009 1:16 am

Can someone explain why a 14 year old child is umpiring league football? Absolute joke. Not only were some of his decisions bewildering, but also reported Cockshell? for tackling someone without the football. Will be thrown out quicker than Alleway's report last week. Glad to see the people in charge at West Lakes are taking their comp seriously.

p.s. What a pleasant change to see two teams playing attacking football. Unfortunately, will be the last time this year though. Let the flood fest begin.

I agree with sleeping giant - that "kid" who umpired was a disgrace!

On the game - not a bad hit out for North, no injuries and an impressive debut by James Craig. I would prefer he stays in the team ahead of O'Hara!

Next week North can't afford to go to sleep and lairise like they did for 20 minutes in the 2nd quarter or else we will have no show. Hopefully Damon White will be back to add some size and experience to the defence, I just wish Macca was also available.

Here's one for you spelly, when was the last time someone got 47 touches and wasn't the best player on the ground as Allan clearly was.
Mind you some dickhead who writes for the Advertiser will probably see fit to not give him a vote and deny him winning a comp that is rightfully his.
