Agreed. Not even nervous, just excited.

We have too much class all over the ground.

i think regardless how far we go in the finals, i consider this year to be a successful year. giving the pups a chance like tippet , ottens patty and the like, and performing like they are is real exciting. BUT WE MUST retain all of them. the team is really gelling together nicely,we all of a sudden have a potent forward line ,and have walker still to fit into when his ready. so yes i think its been a good year keping in mind the next few years.

as for the game, i think we will win , but if essendon are close enough half way into the 3rd , it becomes a line ball game.i would want the crows to be atleast 5 goals ahead into 3QT.if we arent, all the hype re craigys finals record and the like might play on the boys mind.

You guys tipping a massive, easy win are worse than Cornes and Rowe, I am nervous as hell, and can see Essendon playing really well. If the crows win easily, feel free to call me an idiot!

Good luck Crowies. I reckon you'll win but it won't be a walk in the Football Park. Essendon absolutely nothing to lose and will run the lines. Adelaide by 25 points.

Went to the game, had a great time but my mate who I went with just can't get a break at the moment and his team capitulates by 96pts
Adelaide played well and at times when the margin was blowing out I wondered if a big win was going to be good for them next week. After thinking about it over a few beers I think that Adelaide made alot of mistakes, turnovers, poor kicks into their F50 at times etc, so I think there's room for improvement, which I think Craigy will focus on.

Did anyone else see Lovett-Murray's hit on Vince ? I was probably 40 metres from it, it looked like a round house from behind, to the head. Ball was 50 metres away. Was there any footage of it shown on TV ? It didnt get replayed at the ground. Im not 100% certain where the contact was made, but it didnt look good. If Lloyd gets 4 for his, surely a hit 50 metres off the ball is worth 6 ? Wont matter anyway, Lovett-Murray may have 'prior engagements' next year anyway... ;)

Saw McVeigh's too, at least Vince was looking when he did it ! McVeigh looked extremely frustrated, who can blame him.

How good was Dangerfield's first 10 minutes of the second quarter ? He was in everything. I think he gave us a taste of things to come...who the hell is Brad Ebert anyway ? ;)

Fantastic night !

Felch, there is footage on the broadcast and I watched the 1st half when I got home to see what happened. It doesn't show clearly what happened as it's at bottom of screen but you can just see Lovett-Murray approach him from behind/side-on (Vince's wouldn't have seen him coming), Vince goes down and L-M runs on towards the play in the sthn goals. No-one, and no ball within 20-30m of either player. I'd think a down the ground camera would've got it.
Essendon dealt themselves out of any chance of winning that game last night with their total lack of discipline from the previous week, and just to back it up they continued with it last night. Remember, the Vince incident was in the 2nd term when Essendon were still in the game and the tool goes and does something like that just to give his team no chance the following week if they got through.
It would've been easy for Adelaide and Vince to come out swinging against L-M and someone get reported, but it didn't happen, it's called DISCIPLINE!!!

Conflicting Newspaper & Blog reports on who got reported

Adelaide now wrote: Emergency umpire Matthew Nicholls reported Essendon midfielder Mark McVeigh for striking Vince in the last term.

Essendon Footy Club Blog wrote:Was Mark McVeigh just reported for wrestling? Yes mcveigh was reported for wrestling

Herald Sun wrote:Reports: B Vince (Adelaide) by emergency umpire M Nichols for wrestling M McVeigh (Essendon) in the fourth quarter.

Foxsports wrote:Vince was reported for wrestling Mark McVeigh in the final term.

afl website wrote:Reports: Vince (Adel) reported by emergency umpire Nicholls for wrestling McVeigh (Ess) in the fourth quarter

SO who did get reported. :-k To me by the TV it looked like McVeigh :-??

Last night Adelaide had 59 inside 50's for 26 goals, 9pts and 1 rushed. i50's 59 for 36 scoring shots.
last week v Carlton, 61 inside 50's for 27 goals, 14pts and 2 rushed. i50's 61 for 43 scoring shots.
R21 v WC, 57 inside 50's for 18 goals, 11pts, and 3 rushed. i50's 57 for 32 scoring shots.
Adelaide, working at well over 50% efficiency for effectiveness for inside 50's. This is something over the last few years and going back to Ayres' days that we were never very good at.
