Mypo will be just fine!!! Nothing the club could do about losing 10 players from a Grand final side.
Pedlers x2- oversea's returning??
Dunbar- oversea's
Corrie
Kelly- Retired
Flinn- Returning
Funky- Returning
Eckermann- (Knee) will be right
Martin- (knee) will be right
Wallfried- Karoonda
Menaghetti- Broken foot will be right

Plus they recruited a centre half forward who had to leave after 1 game with the club, so all in all it was just 1 of those realy unlucky years for them, but on the plus side they got to play alot of kids who gained some good experience

Oxborrow x2 18 & 20
Davids 19
Davis 17
Freestone x2 17 & 18
Anastasiou 18
Norris 18
Steinert 18
Bassanni 17
Menaghetti x2 19

All these kids played alot of A grade footy this year, & thats great for the club, especially when they get those Gun players back in 2010.
So I would imagine those North recruits will be staying put, & be part of a very good side next year

You don't think Vickers is a quality player (is in the best just about every week) kk? And Bell as well. Both quality players. Gabb and Lynch have been decent too. Not elite, but haven't disgraced themselves.

Vickers is a good player, far from a GUN. Gabb is a big/strong lad that puts in 100% every time he takes the field. Not saying any of these players have disgraced theselves just IMO recruiting players like linkie, comer, lynch, the thomas bro etc wont come close to bringing success. You must think differently GWW.

No just saying that the club had recruited some decent players, because some comments on here indicate they've had no decent recruits whatsoever. I would agree there's not the elite recruits some other clubs have had but i'm certain its not from a lack of trying.

I would not blame the umpires at all. From what I was told Imps just ran all over Mannum in the last quarter. A lot fitter.
If any thing Imps had by far the worst run by the umpires in particular one starting with the initials I.K

Hopefully the grand final will be officiated by umpires with no affiliation with either club. Not saying umpires are necessarily biased, but it takes away the perception that they could be.

You obviously have no idea fil, the only umpire that was a disgrace today had no affiliation with imps and was an embarrasment to the spectacle and while froggy was hard he was the one who was king hit, perhaps its time Jervois started providing some umpires instead of the constant crap you come up with

Tough side to beat those Imps. Cant let them in for even part of a qaurter or they will cut you up. Makes it all the more sweeter when you do manage to roll them, hopefully that will be soon (2 weeks time).

The umpiring wasnt as disgraceful as some might suggest however the discussion about perceptions is spot on. Non affiliated umpires are definitely a must come GF day, to dispel those perceptions.

While the umpiring in the whole last quarter will lead to much debate this week, the crucial part of the game where one umpire repeatedly blew his whistle calling time on while a player was coming off with the blood rule, trying to attract the attention of the other two umpires, half the players stopped, Imps kicked a goal and the other two umpires overruled the time on call for the blood rule, goal stands. Really strange stuff. No wonder a few frayed tempers at the end of the game.

The umpire who was blowing his whistle to stop play was totally wrong. The rule in the rule book states that a player with blood flowing has to leave the ground once a umpire notices it. But the umpire can only call for the blood rule once the play has stopped. In this case play had not stopped & the umpire was totally incorrect in blowing his whistle to stop play. A coorect call by the umpire in charge to allow the goal. Just another example of one umpire not knowing the rules of the game.

It is a bot hard to have a non-affiliated umpire when the majority of umpires are from Imperials. Why don't the other clubs stop their whinging about having Imperial Life members umpiring and get some people from their own club out there umpiring. It's not Imperials fault that the majority of the A Grade umpires come from their club they should be praised for having so many from imps not riticuled for it. Until the other clubs get off their arses and do something about it they should all shut up about it.

I agree that the umpiring yesterday was not up to standard but it in no way effected the result. The official stats anyway show Mannum and 9 more free kicks than Imperials. Matthew Seyers and Jamie Honor won that game for Imperials not Froggy Farnham. Matthew Seyers last quarter was exceptional especially considering he was standing probably Mannum's best player Warnest. Moving Honor into the ruck was a stroke of Jenius by Fielke, everyone bags him for freezing in finals but putting Honor and Harrowfield into the middle probably won Imps the game, as well as moving Eyre to Full Forward. It was a great last quarter, but I reckon the best part of the day was in the third quarter when Clayson absolutely polaxed Waterhouse, it was a bone crunching bump and Waterhouse was on the ground for a long time. Clayson has had waterhouse's measure this year, he kicked 5 yesterday but did not have the inluence on the game he usually has. Quinn was easilty Mannums best yesterday I reckon.

Didn't realise anyone was saying it was Imperials fault that the umpires have had an affiliation with the club Blues Bros. Think we can all safely assume that no club directs the panel as to who umpires the match so anyone who thinks it is Imperials fault is probably ill informed. I dont think anyone on this forum has stated they thought you guys on Adelaide Road picked the umpires for the day but I might have missed that posting.
Some outside observers commented that it was on of the best matches of country football they have seen in a long time. Anyway a week off for you guys we face up against Ramblers and see what happens. Bit of luck Imps V Mannum at Mannum in 2 weeks. As one of your supporters said Saturday, thats where you won your last in 2002. We won our last against an unbeatable opponent in 2003.
