That's a fair response.

Have they regrouped from the dismal finish to the season RW?

I'd say they will be going for the team that doesn't have the stroker at Full Forward.

I would've thought they'd be cheering for Wunkar too. I know there's no love lost between Cobby and the Swans. But all this talk about activities off field during the matches between Cobby and Wunkar in recent weeks had me wondering....

Hey DW, what are you talking about with the rumoured coach of Waikerie next year? Any truth to this rumour? or just a fabrication?

RW - As I said just something I've heard. No fabrication on my behalf. The person I was told about would be a massive asset to Waikerie. I'm sure, with his family connections, this rumour will come up quite often over the years.

Now, to other rumours....

BMFC coach to come from within.
About five player Roos looking at other options for next year - one with an SANFL club.
A key Loxton player moving to the Eyre Peninsula.

As I said in a previous post - it's silly season already and it'll be interesting to see how these pan out over the summer.

Now to fact. What a ripper game at Moorook today!
A brilliant contest. Going down until the dying minutes with the Swans getting up by two goals.

Not often that the best two players on the ground in the grand final are on the losing side. Schulz and Evans absolutely outstanding today.
Swans just had that bit more depth across their team.
Coach Westley stepped up to the plate to kick the goal that broke the deadlock with about 90 seconds left. But...was it touched? Not sure but it didn't matter as the Swans scored again after the siren to inflate the margin.
Wunkar dogged (pardon the pun) all day. Their desperation and commitment to team play kept them in the game and almost had them take the victory. A bit more composure in the dying minutes could have seen them hold the lead and win.
Dean Hill good up front for the Swans - but did give away many free kicks.
Steve Lehmann was the absolute forward star. Taking some good grabs and kicking five (IIRC) goals.
Crouch did a good job on Lippis early but tired late.
And speaking of Lippis, did he give the fingers to the crowd after kicking the final goal?
Jason Goodes showed why he should be playing A grade footy with a dashing rebounding game for the Dogs.
Nick Allen was superbly redoubtable in defence.
Portolesi played a great game for the Swans too - had a tough job in the ruck. His tackle on a rampaging Schulz in the second quarter on the Swans' forward flank was a massive highlight.
Bloke cops a lot of flak but did a fantastic job for the winners today.
The difference? Not much. I think the midfield was fairly even.
If anything - Paringa's forward line was a little more dynamic and took most of the opportunities presented.
It was a tough loss for the Dogs. They didn't deserve to lose.
Massive crowd today - I'm not sure where all of the Dogs support came from but it was there in force.

Two sides of the coin - Schulz in his third losing GF for the Dogs (99/00/09).
Westley played in two straight losing grand finals for Lyrups and then wins a flag this year.

Well done Swans, worthy winners.

What a game.
Well done to Wunkar - deserved it just as much as us.
The support they received from the crowd was phenomenal.
Bigger support than most RFL clubs get for a GF.
Thought Evans was awesome yesterday, but Schulz and Goodes were Wunkar's best IMO.
For us, Lloyd was brilliant as was Lehmo. Lehmo really stood up for us in what I reckon was his best ever game.
Arrod's tackle on Bennell was unreal and it was Lloydy who kicked that final goal DW. Bloody unbelievable that it went through.
Well done to Moorook for putting on an awesome day.
And well done to the Brown's Well Bombers for their win in the colts. Top stuff.
