Not sure who misses then.

How did Stevens pull up i wonder. Supposed sore back i believe.

Unless he or the club have officially filled out paperwork to be delisted (which they don't do until Oct/Nov as I understand) then I think he's still an Essendon listed player.

With all their outs I'd play him if I was Essendon

Bock did not complete the training session this morning. Spoke to Craigy, and left the track. Did not look happy by all reports.

Craigy's just said Bock hasn't come up, and Van Berlo is out apparently.

Interesting to see who they will bring in for VB.

You would think Douglas, or maybe Sloane.

Douglas would come in, the crows officials who watched his game on the weekend rated it highly! if sloane gets a gig then another youngster getting some much needed experience in finals.

Douglas for me

I tend to agree FS. Douglas was ok the week previous too.

Sloane was stiff* to get dropped in the first place though.

Booney, a mate of mine was at Crows training today and said Bock didn't complete the session. He had a quick word to Craigy, and left the track. The press conference just held said he might be right for the following week, everything going to plan.

For mine if Adelaide get through this week you could not pick him after 5 weeks on the sidelines going into a Semi Final against Collingwood or the Sts.

I would think Craig/finals/injured players ( 06 from memory Goodwin or Riccuito ) would be playing on the coaching staffs mind.

I saw the game that Sloane played and must say I was impressed. But still it will be interesting to see the makeup of the crows side seen as Lloyd and Ryder are out.

Agreed Booney, I say they should pull the pin on him now. Can't risk it in finals, no need to bring in a bloke who's carrying an injury that's kept him out for over a month. A move like that is fraught with danger I reckon.

With most people suggesting Adelaide in a canter over Essendon this week, why not play him and find out what he can deal with?

That's what I would do.

Make or break.

^:)^ well done Booney, you must have woken up on the right side of the bed this morning ;)

For me if Bock is fit he plays. When i say fit, if Craig(super player manager) thinks he is ready to play a game of football then i would play him. He is a super athlete and aslong he isnt only say 75-80% fit he plays for mine!

how many players are playing with niggles from every team, long season takes its toll and i think he would compete above others with a niggle. remember his game when he did it or the week after he still player well despite obvious discomfort

75-80% with a sore shoulder, you play.

75-80% with a fractured/bruised heel, you dont.

IMO.

*Edit - added *

On this would Adelaide be somewhat mindful of the longer term prospects of this injury and have a small eye on 2010? We see players who miss most of the pre season take a long time to get up to speed. If Adelaide play Bock this week and he "falls over" wit ha longer term injury and misses much of the pre season 2010 will be a slog for him. I would bet in the modern world of AFL footy they would at least speak of this to the doctors.

Agreed, especially if pain killers have no effect as reported when he was first sidelined with it.

Yeah good points Boon and Ginger

There are alot of what ifs and pros an cons but if he is fit enough, cant injure it anymore etc i would play him regardless of him missing 5 weeks!

and yes keeping an eye on 2010 isnt such a bad idea with the squad we have, thinking we should *touch wood* be in a better position to really challenge the top teams next season!

Bock and Van Berlo have been ruled out of tomorrows clash with the bombers.
