I'd agree with that, very good player ... lost his sight in an eye from memory, is that correct?

Great player back in some wonderful days of SA footy ... You had Michael Wright at CHF who was a great character (opposition supporters used to love getting stuck into him, but he gave as good as he got) and then the mercurial Edwards at Full Forward.

Ultra sad that we didn't get to see a lot more of him.

Michael Wright coached us a few years ago. Good bloke and loved a drink.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Maybe, Danny died in London on a work assignment and had effecively retired but he did say to me that he was going to see what an 18 month rest did for his body (he was suffering from austio-pubis) and would consider a come-back if his boday was up to it.

Robbie West would be the main one for Port Id say. Was pretty much guaranteed a spot on Ports first AFL list but was bashed into a coma and only played a handful of games after that.

Danny Morgan won two flags in 98 and 99 and left due to work halfway through 2000.

Brett Chalmers to an extent. Retired at 27 at his peak due to a knee injury.

Eichner....had just started to show his talent when his career was ruined by that injury. Wasnt the same after that.

David Drew at Westies. Burst onto the scene in the late 70s during a grim period and wrecked his knee not long after Kerley took over. I loved the way he played - a skinny kid who took everyone on.

Hey Macca, what about Troy Hull. Knocked Ron Barassi back to go to Sydney and basically got home from that lunch and left Port as well.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

One player from the Bays that I wish had stayed in the SANFL a bit longer was Shane Tipuamantmerri (spelling ?), he was awesome to watch...

Mick Godden is the one that stands out to me from westies the bloke didn't have an ounce of luck in his playing career.

Chris Chubb was another who didn't have a body capable of standing up to league footy.

Injuries also wore down the best years of Mark Dragacevic.
