with westies out of finals contention (and playing the top side Sunday) surely it makes sense to release Ryan Bennett to play this week??

Won't happen. Heard from some pretty good sources, that he has a chance of getting picked up in the draft next year, so coming back here would not do his chances any good. Need to be taking every opportunity to impress. Brisbane are quite keen apparently.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

Gun player in the SANFL no doubt. But he plays like a key position guy when he is the height of a mid. Would struggle big time in the AFL for pace. He's got some fair shoulders though!

I found Bennett deceptively quick. I think he would surprise a few.

P. Smith already signed for Loxton again. Good news for the Tiges if true.
Scuttlebutt suggests G. Russell is looking for a coaching gig on the 'other side' of the river. No team defined in that one.
And who is the player with family connections who is rumoured to be considering coaching the Magpies next year?

As I said, only rumours. Silly season has started already.

Smith signed on Saturday for Loxton. May be an assistant coaching role at the Tige's on the cards. Good job by Loxton to get him signed up before the end of the season, because I am certain there would have been a lot of clubs around the place who would have been bidding for his services next year. Good loyalty shown by Pete too. He is obviously really enjoying it there and full credit to Loxton for being able to hold onto him.

Pigsy thinks Pissy Pete must love the Riverland life :D

Must be something up there that he loves, might be the weather....or the nightlife! Or even the loyalty perhaps.

Good Luck to Wunkar on the weekend. Would like to see the drought end, even if they knocked Cobby out :(

Whoops. I take that back. Bennett is playing for Renmark this weekend. Just saw the West Adelaide team and Bennett is listed as out (Renmark). Massive in.

Will be interesting to see his impact on the team coming back this week.

Will also be interesting to note his approach to the game, might just tear it to pieces, although Kayser (i think) did a good job on him in last year's GF.

I hope for Renmark's sake he turns it on and it doesn't backfire.
Before he left for Westies he wasn't in the same form he was last year, but he appears to have turned that around.
Should be a ripper game tomorrow. If I wasn't playing myself, I'd definitely head along for a look.

Waikerie have beaten Renmark five out of six times previously, four of those wins Renmark had Bennett, and they have proved they are better without out him. So the Waikerie boys wont be worried at all and definately wont be planning mad Monday
