Did he? How did he go?

I havent seen him for a while, but Tony Victor was saying he was living back here now and was going to play. Glenelg mustnt have quite worked out for him. When fit is a damn good bowler.

Apparently Renmark have Luke Fitzy fronting up this season, this is unconfimred though. Can bowl a bit.

Fitzy won't be playing A grade.
He's playing in the newly formed Renmark Rams team in the District comp to be captained by yours truly.

Seems like the Renmark A Grade could struggle again then.

I know of another team looking at starting up also.

Yeah, would have to be the district comp. :)
I did field a question last year about what it would take to get an old turf wicket back up and running though. ;)

Very disappointing to hear that Renmark is unlikely to field an A grade this year. :o

Is this forum just repeating itself from this time last year? Renmark may not field a team. What a surprise.

Forgive me for asking a stupid question, but why would someone like Luke Fitzimmons, who has been in Adelaide playing District cricket, want to waste his time playing Renmark District and ripping sides apart every week?

Surely more people in Renmark want to actually play A grade cricket? People like Tony Victor, Dan Shawyer and co. who have been keen as to get it up and running must be tearing their hair out.

I might be jumping the gun, as the RTCA AGM is tonight and we may know more after that, but if the early rumours are true they are going to struggle to get a good side together again.
Don't be scared. Now is not the time!

Like it or not, there is a couple of blokes who hold the future of A grade cricket in Renmark in the palm of their hands. They either don't realise it, or they dont give a sh*t.
I suspect the later, which is disappointing for the blokes who live in Renmark who want to play a decent standard of cricket and for the many great players the club has produced over many years.

Did Renmark end up nominating a team last night?

They didn't have a delegate at the meeting.
Apparently the meeting was a fair ballsup.

You know who they are Ron.
My point is, if certain blokes put their hand up and got committed, you would see more players get on board and Renmark would end up with a very handy cricket side.
