One for Spelly ... when was the last time Port had only 4 wins in a season (no, they won't beat Sturt next week)?

Speaking of due credit, more than 24 hours and 3 pages in, it seems the only thing missing from this thread is a Port fan's honest appraisal of yesterday's match. Just a neutral observation, I'm not having a dig at anyone in particular.
Booney, seeing as you've (seemingly) been the only Port fan that's made the effort to post on this thread, perhaps you could do us the honour? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd appreciate an honest insight.
Cheers.

PhilH wrote:No Drebin,
Not totally responsible ... as per my post there are numerous reasons for crowd changes.
But yes South can take a reasonable amount of credit that their home games crowds are growing (this is not a one off game, its sustained growth over four years) and they can take the vast majority of credit for growth in memberships.
Your argument was that the main reason ( "more a reflection" ) for the changes is more visiting supporters turning up and thus credit to South is minimal to nil. I think that is wrong.
Just so we are clear Drebin, to what extent do you think a SANFL club (south, north, eagles or any other) is responsible for it's home match crowd numbers?
