The Boomers continued their impressive run at the Stankovic Cup with a close win tonight over host nation China. It means that regardless of the result of Sunday's game against Angola, the Boomers will play either China or Turkey in the final on Monday night.

Australia 76 (Ogilvy 18, Harvey 17, Majok 10) d China 74 (Li Xiaoxu 17, Wang Zhi-Zhi 16)

The Boomers won the gold medal at the Stankovic Cup tonight for the first time ever with our previous best result being bronze in 2005. We beat Turkey in the final 69-52 and went through the tournament undefeated. I never would've thought this was possible after the loss to New Zealand. Excellent result. Also James Harvey was named MVP of the tournament and he was joined in the tournament's All-Star Five by fellow Boomers A.J. Ogilvy & Matthew Dellavedova along win China's former NBA journeyman Wang Zhi-Zhi and Turkey's Hakan Demeril.

Australia 69 (Harvey 14, Ogilvy 14, Holmes 10) d Turkey 52 (Umi Turkoglu 11, Ibrahim Yildrim 11)
