Fill me in. What did he do? Undisciplined, or just missed easy goals?

Interesting game on Saturday.

Waikerie scored five goals in the first term - two of which were from free kicks (which seemed on the mark to me) and a 50 metre penalty.
Loxton's discipline could be a problem in a close game. Remembering the number of 50s they conceded in the closing matches of the minor round.
Waikerie had control of the game while the wind/rain was in force, after that disappeared, Loxton really gained the ascendancy. The other factor was Loxton's straight kicking on a blustery day - they took advantage of just about every shot on goal, while the Mags missed some sitters.
The Tigers really relied on Portolesi, Uren, Williams and Kruger. Ball getters.
Their handball game was exceptional, it was only their decision making by foot when the weather was at its worst that hurt them early.
A dry day and the Tiges would've won by significantly more.
Is Kruger struggling with injury? Seemed to struggle through the day. His goal in the fourth quarter was exceptional - he willed himself through several attempted tackles and goaled.
Loxton's confidence grew immensely with that goal and Waikerie was never in it again.
Griffiths left the field early with what seemed a hammy.
Scott Nicholson was the outstanding player for Waikerie for mine.
I get the feeling it is going to take a massive effort from Waikerie to get through to another GF. Their experienced players seem tired/hamstrung by soreness. They also have Azza/Jacko on the sidelines too.

Just my thoughts on the game, pick apart at will.

Pretty spot on there, Waikerie really missed opportunities in front of goal in the third. Jacko Sutton not on sidelines though. Played all game.

I heard he threw a punch right in front of the umpire.
Not sure though. I know he got sent off. Renmark did come back directly after that incident, but they were starting to get their act together anyway.

I thought Barmera had it wrapped up at half time yesterday.
Great comeback by the Rovers.
A lot of 50s given away in the second half.
Didn't see the Wilksch incident, but I know he and Dempsey both got sent off during the day.

Here's a couple for the rumour file:

P. Smith already signed for Loxton again. Good news for the Tiges if true.
Scuttlebutt suggests G. Russell is looking for a coaching gig on the 'other side' of the river. No team defined in that one.
And who is the player with family connections who is rumoured to be considering coaching the Magpies next year?

As I said, only rumours. Silly season has started already.

O my god. Are our umpires over reacting to comments or what.
Not denying that abusive backchat doesn't deserve penaltys.
However, if our umpires don't have some balls (as long as it isn't directly abusive) then our game is going to suffer.
the young umpire with man boobs yesterday needs to GROW UP. The 3 50's in a row was a joke. The umpires coach has obviously instructed our umpires to a zero tolerance for back chat.
what ever happened to the good ole umpires (such as barry buckskin) if you said something he was quick enough to shut you up with his clever comments, this more often than not shut the players up.
I remember Frog Fisher telling me one day in Adelaide when he was playing for Souths, he let the umpire have it for a dubious free kick. The umpire gave him more back, suggesting that he should worry about getting his first kick for the game a not helping him umpire. Frog tells me he was spot on and this shut him up quick smart.
it's about time our umpires had a bit of fun instead of being so serious. it would be more fun for everyone????

The players are aware they're not to argue with the umpires.
The rules aren't great, but the young umpire in question was only doing his job.
