Just to throw a cat among the pigeons, as much as I don't hate Liverpool among the rest of the Sky 4 teams, this little episode with the reds not being given the cash to spend on bolstering the squad could very quickly see them be out of contention for CL next season, or at least up against it big time come the Jan transfer window.

Surely the Seppo's will see that a bit of cash now will prevent them from a losing a bucketload if they're not getting the CL income next season, not to mention the pressure that will come from other clubs to snap up Torres who would be mad to stay without the promise of europe's biggest comp.

The real problem at Liverpool IMO is their depth. They've got some brilliant players in Gerrard, Torres, Reina and even Masch, but it falls away badly after that. Look at the backup squads of Chelski, Manure and to a lesser extent Arse, Spurs and Citeh.

[b]Liverpool need to beat Bolton on the weekend BAD[/b]. It will be ugly for Rafa and the yanks if they dont.

P.S. The odds for Rafa to be the first coach sacked this season have been slashed apparently.

Bolton have got no one to blame for being down to 10 men with so long to play.
Bolton got a 2nd yellow somewhat harshly but Bolton have got to start playing football, not hackball.
I'd be interested in seeing the freekick tally at the end of the game.
Gerrard is running riot now and Torres has just scored so I'd expect a good victory from here but the opposition are as pathetic as LFC's start to the season.
Hopefully this is the kick start to it all.

95th minute, generally augurs well for the season ahead when you can win at the death early in the year
